well, it certainly would hurt if they lost. But think about it. The east is terrible this year, beating them is not going to give them enough of a boost to jump us in the polls once alabama beats them.

they lose then lose to bama and we win out we are in the title (depending on a couple other things), Auburn has to lose today if we have any hope of making the title.

No worries man. If we and Bama both win out then yes, there would be a three way tie but they won't jump us in the BCS rankings.

if we want to win a national championship, winning the sec is irrelevent.

All that needs to happen is for auburn to get beat by bama

Its going to take more than that with Auburn. An one loss Auburn team will most likely remain ranked ahead of LSU. They would likely remain ranked ahead of unbeaten TCU and Boise teams.

BS. The voters will not put a team that did not win its conference up that high. Now before someone brings up Nebraska 01 or OU 03. The BCS formula is very different today. The human polls count for 2/3 now the the computers are avg, not separate like they used to be. If the current formula was in place in 01 and 03. NU and OU would not have made the title game. A 1 loss Big 12 champ Nebraska or a 1 loss Big 10 winner would probably be ahead on LSU for the BCS CG.

Wisconsin is ahead of us in the Harris and Coaches. Them and Iowa losing to inferior Big Ten teams weakens the top of that Conference. People have already mention Penn State so that is why I did not mention that game. MIchigan State is off.

Stanford is stealing some votes from us in both the coaches and harris poll.

Kansas State beating Missouri weakens the Big 12 and almost pushes them out of the Top 25.

Texas over Oklahoma State same thing as Kansas State except I don't see them dropping out the 25 this week.

Nebraska has one loss. They need to lose to weaken their conference too.

Vanderbilt is on our schedule. This is tenuous but them winning would improve our schedule. Kentucky winning is better for the Conference in general.

All of these things happening lowers one loss teams tremendously and improves LSU's position in the polls and makes our schedule look that much better.

This is including the teams mentioned earlier.

Actually, I think we need Bama and Penn State to win.

We should want that game to be close with Bama winning.

Mississippi State wouldn't move down that much and if some of these losses actually happen then Bama is back in the Top 10.

This is about making our schedule and wins look impressive.

Florida is dogshit this year. Don't let wins over shitty teams like UGA and Vandy allow you to think they're back just like the media did after a win over a shitty Kentucky team. They're a 4-5 loss team this year and won't be fvcking top 15 anytime soon.
