They have said it without saying it….

This isn’t the past. You are not going to penalize a championship contender for playing for a championship with 12 spots.

It was different at 4. The current rankings cannot reflect representatives.

This also takes some common sense. A team with 3 losses playing in it. Will not hold same weight as like teams with 2 losses or 1

What do you mean by this? What actions or statements from them have they made that leads you and many others to believe this? I don't mean to be inflammatory at all, I'm just curious because you aren't the only one, and I feel like there must be something out there that I haven't seen. I wished I shared the same optimism and faith that conference championship participants will be protected but I just don't. At least not unilaterally.

Let's say Ohio State beats Indiana but loses to Michigan in an upset and the Big 10 CG is Indiana vs Oregon (I don't know the Big 10 tiebreakers so not sure if it would be them or Penn St but just for argument let's say Indiana). If Indiana loses to Oregon, Oregon is getting in obviously as the auto bid. That leaves Ohio St at 10-2, Penn St at 11-1, Indiana at 11-2. Ohio St would still have wins over both Penn St and Indiana, even at 10-2 I think they would be the next team taken. Then would Penn St and Indiana both be taken? Or would just 1? That all depends on the rest of the field. Indiana would have 0 ranked wins, losing to both Ohio State and Oregon. Penn St is in the same boat, but Penn St would only have 1 loss. And they're a bigger brand. If only one of those two can be taken, I'm sorry to say but I believe Penn St would get in and Indiana would be out. I could be wrong but that's how I feel.

Somewhat agree that SEC/B1G Conference championship losers won’t be left out, but it still completely depends on how competitive the Championship game is.

If a team gets blown out, it may be an elimination game & someone else moves in to that spot

Bro there is a spot for both. You just wrote a whole paragraph about it and both will get in.

If Indiana has 1 loss regardless of how many ranked teams they beat they gonna have a hard time leaving them out as a Big 10 representative. So Ohio State Oregon and Indiana would have spots. Penn State with 1 loss would likely get in too.

I'm just telling you that if LSU is the representative of the SEC at 10-2 and plays a game against Texas A&M if both go chalk. Then both teams are in the playoff. Heather Dinich said the committee will not penalize teams representing in the championship game.

n which case you weren’t going to win a natty anyway.

11 teams in the 12 team playoff aren't winning the national title. Yes, a NC is the ultimate goal, but just like getting in the Dance is a big deal in College Basketball, Its all about getting yourself in the Playoffs now in Football.
