Look how late the flag came in. Hasn't hit the ground yet. (but I think it's an arguably legit call)

Actually it was an incorrect call. The replay from the other side clearly show that Chad led with his shoulder and it was his shoulder the knocked the helmet off. However, it was truly a violent collision and fortunately both were ok

Jeff does an outstanding job with the equipment he has.
He ponied up for a Canon lens. Although the lens and camera are not great low light performers, Jeff gets the most out of them and the Canon glass is almost tack sharp.
Jeff knows this as well.

Being underexposed isn't the end of the world. I figured if he went another stop slower he was having blur problems. If he's not already - shoot in RAW, then adjust the exposure in DPP or whatever RAW converter you're using.

I agree in some respects. I tried this for a couple of games, but the time it takes to process is not worth it, IMO. I have a plain old mediocre computer, which is slow in processing media files. I don't think Jeff or I take those photos for any other purpose than for our enjoyment, or to share with TD. No real need to do extensive PP. Jeff also has a family. I'm sure he'd rather spend time with his beautiful wife and kids than spend hours processing pictures for rantards.
This year was just a learning experience for me, but I plan on doing a lot more with my photos in the coming year, so I will probably be shooting RAW a lot more often.

Thanks, Jeff and Lucky, for sharing your photos this season. I hope both of you can make it to whatever bowl game LSU plays in.

RAW doesn't really take that long to process. I do mine on the laptop, which is slow as hell also.
All you gotta do is figure out the setup you want for the first shot of the batch, then copy/paste the recipe to the rest of the series. Then batch process while you go do other stuff.
I fought RAW long and hard, but then I had photos with jacked up white balance and exposure, so I shifted over. I don't store the files in RAW once I process them though. I just save high quality JPGS.
