The call of the game was don't let the other team's best player beat you. A&M intentionally walks Crews the next at bat after he hit the tieing HR and LSU pitches to Frazell who hits a go ahead HR.

I agree it's on the lack of hitting by the players but there were some major coaching issues too.

It’s two different situations. You walk Crews with two outs and get a lefty lefty match up. It’s a tough call to put the go ahead run on first with no outs and freshman on the mound. Still with that said you can’t pipe him a fastball, pitch around and if you walk him so then you do.

I want to agree with you. This team looked about as fired up as they did Tuesday. We all know Paul isn’t Ed O. He isn’t Skip. He isn’t going to get a team fired up. Can’t blame Paul for what happened to Dugas, if he was batting instead of Drost with the bases juiced could’ve been an entire different outcome than staring at 5 strikes. But alas when this team goes cold they stay cold and don’t seem to have that guy to pick them up and turn it around. Everybody looks at everybody. This team has a ton of FIGHT when they choose to and then days like these for whatever reason they just are flat and disinterested. The chances for that fire to be lit and stay lit is quickly running out.

What’s the point in having a coach then?
Isn’t it the coaches job to coach the players to swing the bat?

I disagree. We had guys laying it on the line.
We just don’t have a strong lineup. We can’t hit. We won the last opener 2-1. We list this one 2-1. Our bats are very inconsistent.
We didn’t hit, we made a costly error and a rookie pitcher made one mistake when we had no room for any mistakes.

No problem. I don't think I'd have much to add about this game, other than that it's not as much fun doing BPB when we lose.

You are confusing LSU with tee ball.
College players should know how to swing the bat.
The hitting coach can polish a kid up, help him improve, but he’s not there to teach s kid to swing.
