I don't hold someone's lack of experience against them if they knock it out of the park when they get their chance.

This was really my first thought when I read the quote. It's just the "new, illustrious thing" in his life. He may forget all about it 5 months or maybe even 5 days. Who knows what these kids are really thinking. I don't think it's too much to be concerned with at this point.

The guy who pounded Jimbo Fisher with his more talented teams into skipping out on the ACC?
Yeah that guy. Never a coordinator, very few (one) top 10 recruiting class leading up to his championship.
But certain people on this board are getting their jollies off since LSU is ONLY ranked in the top 10 right now.

Good god man. Dabo has proven he can win and win big with his recruiting strategy. O hasn’t accomplished shite and is almost 10 years older than him. I don’t feel the need to elaborate any more on such an obvious flaw in your logic

The only thing that I would wonder about is how do these quotes from Thomas hurt his ability to recruit other players to LSU like he was doing?
I guess he could always say "Yeah, FSU was fricking incredible, but LSU is that much better."

Yea. For a program like LSU, where it was in 2016, hiring a guy who has never been a coordinator and failed as a coach at ole miss is a bit underwhelming for a program that has won 2 titles, 3 conference titles and never lost more than 5 games this century.
For Clemson, who hadn’t had a 10 win season since 1990, they didn’t really care that much about Dabo’s resume.
I really don’t understand how people like to look at things in a vacuum, without any context. This doesnt just apply to Ree, there’s a lot of posters on here who are guilty.

Daboo went 9-5 overall and 6-2 in the ACC his first year. Yes he won his division with that record but other than that everything is pretty similar.

My logic is the recruiting classes Eaux has landed plus Fehoko, Giles, Moss, Burrow, Tracy, etc, etc, etc.
