10-2 would be great.

9-3 and missing the playoff again would be an enormous disappointment & extremely reminiscent of 2023.

Well we are in a FAR better spot to get to 10-2 at this point in the season compared to 2023

Hence why having a good defense is by far the better option.

Well here’s some good news for you the first 2 games we dominated TOP.

We have completely changed how we run the game compared to the last several seasons.

We never go tempo. We snap at the back end of the play clock. We play the game as a defensively oriented team should play.

I think it hurts Nuss to a degree because he’s a very streaky player and when he has to play slow he’s at his worst IMO but its best for the team.

Which is strange because historically Nuss was at his best when running tempo.

No it’s not strange.

Think about this team and its strengths.

This is why Brian Kelly is annoyed.

I get that but if Nuss plays his best when running tempo AND you have a defense that you can trust to get stops…. Why not let your qb do what he does best.

Just because the defense is great doesn’t mean we should limit what the offense can do.

Again, last night after the interception, going extremely conservative was the right call. But that can’t be the game plan every week

Texas A&m also scored 41 points... we would have scored 20 against ND and lost

Scoring points is entertaining “to most”. Great defense is not “to most”.

That’s why.

Not true, great defense is awesome, but when you can't get anything going on offense and you almost average more 3 and outs than you do sustainable drives then its pretty pathetic..

If Clemson beat us they’d be 2-1. Which would make our loss look better than the win we currently have.

The point is you don’t elevate an assistant to first time coordinator at a program like LSU over a recruit, and everyone was right about that except Brian Kelly.

We are not asking to be the greatest team of all time every year — just give me a team that isn’t the worst in the conference on one side of the ball & for the love of daylight give me a moderately competent rushing attack.

5 years of not being able to run the ball at LSU, and we are admonishing people for having some strong opinions on this?

Because the defense at its best is better than Nuss and the offense at its best.

The coaches have made a conscious decision to favor the defense.

I’m sure at some point in a game they feel necessary they will speed things up but until then they will do what’s best to get the W. Nuss even at his best can have a 3-4 series stretch where you are thinking this guy should never see the field again. (See 3rd q of TAMU last year)

They are going to let the defense win the game.

You can say that’s “playing not to lose” or you can think strategically and say you are putting your 11 best players in the optimum position to lead the team to victory.

Everyone wants to have your playmakers shine. The coaching staff is doing that.

As the O line gels over the course of the season I expect us to open it up some more.

This has been Kelly’s MO on the offensive side everywhere he’s been.

23m of possession is not ball control.

Maybe I’m wrong but wasn’t Sloan previously an OC at La Tech. So I don’t think he’s a first time coordinator. But I also think he was pretty bad his first time too so…..

And I agree completely, making Sloan OC just to get Underwood was a huge mistake. Compounded by the fact that we didn’t even get him.

That personell decision may be what costs BK his best chance at a championship

They had plenty of dumbasses saying we'd lose to clemson and uf and be 1-2 to start.

We 3-0 and the lil bitches gotta find something to bitch about because the 1-2 didn't work out.

Sure, the point is that ball control doesn’t mean bad offense.

We are 116 in FBS rushing. You want to play the style of ball you’re describing, in the SEC? That’s going to have to change.

Failing to convert 3rd and short isn’t ball control, it’s just bad. Ball control teams covert 3rd and short, that’s their staple.

Thank you!!!!

People are seriously acting like since we have a good defense, BKs goal is to be ranked in the 100s on offense.

People are confusing ball control conservative offense with ineptitude
