We should have fired the last lsu coach immediately when they refused an NIT bid, ie Jones. It seems like the administration won't have learned the lesson if they retain McMahon.

Which should mean that McMahon is gone but Woodward still sleeping on the job.

Again - the NIL PR campaign showed me the intent and that was to play it back and invest more NIL $$$.....allegedly.

But I'm not sure the tacid vote of confidence as it was, did much to help and things sort of imploded at the end of the year or so it seems - there's no coverage of LSU hoops so very little information on state of program....no one is asking.

14 of 16 SEC teams made the NCAA tournament so there is no desire for the other two to play in NIT.

Perhaps the lowest point of LSU men's basketball in the last 60 years!

I'd argue Dale's and Johnny's last year were both lower points, but right now is in that realm - only no one is writing or reporting about it or asking questions so outside discussions here by a handful of folks.

Smart move on Mac’s part. Losing to a small college would have been another strike

Back in 2013 UK did not make the NCAA and accepted a NIT bid. Because Rupp was a host site UK had to play their first round game at Robert Morris University. UK lost on the road in a crap 5000 seat gym…. It was doomsday for a while after that

If Matt McMahon is bought out this year it'll cost $7.5 Million,

$6.1 Million in the 2025-26 season, in 2026-27 it'll cost $4.65 million, and in 2027-28 it'll cost $3.15 million.

There is only so much embarrassment a fan base can stand.

I suppose a quitter is less embarrassing than a continual loser.
