re: LSU drops out of TD.com Top 10 Poll...

Nonsense. There are teams that can't keep other teams under 40 yet they have been ranked in the top 10 in the past...Texas Tech was one of them, but there have been others. LSU's poor offense does not preclude them from being ranked. You know, if LSU won every game 3-2 they would win the NC. How many points you score per game is irrelevant except if you score more than your opponent.

I've had BAMA ranked #1 for 3 weeks now, and I also don't have LSU in the top 10. Why? Because the offense is down right BAD.

Anyone believing that LSU belongs in the top 10 also believed that LSU deserved to be the No. 4 team after we beat MSU...

Crowton is not to blame for the OL play
Right, as the coordinator of the offense, the offensive line does not fall under his jurisdiction.
I know we have an o line coach, but it is still most definitely part of Crowton's job to make sure they are up to par.

In our defense, there really was no one to put ahead of us at that time. Not disagreeing, just saying...

Virgina Tech's "luck win" ='s LSU's wins over Miss. State and Georgia.

How does 1 guy who never posts on TD, come on and post over 400 times in a couple days?

Miami being in the top 10 over LSU is pretty questionable at this point. Yes, LSU hasn't looked great, but their lone loss came to the #1 team, but 10 points. Vatech raped Miami, so I am not seeing that. I can see why people put them up there, but Miami is getting a lot of love for a team who's biggest win came against Bradfordless OU.

Miami isn't that good. It is a joke they are in the top 10 at this point. Along with Iowa. Oregon should be in the top ten. I don't see how they aren't.

Miami is actually a pretty decent team, but young. I agree that Oregon has just as good a resume as Miami if not better given their blowouts.
Iowa is legitimate. They've had one bad game, but have otherwise been solid, beat a top 10 team (at the time in PSU) and is undefeated, something you can't discount.
I think 1 - 6 is all that is legit. tOSU and USC are definitely overrated.

I refuse to put a team in the top 10 after subpar performances against Northern Iowa and Arkansas State, Sorry just cant do it

At the moment I think LSU should be ranked ahead of USC. Both 1 loss teams but LSU lost to a top 3 team (in most anyone's book at this point) and beat the team that beat USC. I also think it could be argued LSU should be ranked ahead of Ohio State and Miami.
Two weeks (or more) down the road as the season continues to play-out then I might agree that LSU should not be in the top ten. Until then LSU being ranked behind USC given current win/loss is just silly IMO...

Didn't USC lose without its starting QB?

chicken, in your unbiased opinion, when reading through this thread, who presented a better argument?
Me for miami? Or that alter for LSU or against miami or w.e

We've been really overrated (to start the season) one time in the past 5 years, and that was last year. The year before, we were underrated, big time.

I don't think LSU should have dropped out of the top 10. If we were number 4 and florida was #1, aren't we supposed to lose in a close game?
