And it was William and Mary, even the cupcakes beat up on W&M.
William & Mary was a solid program for many years under Jimmye Laycock. They were in the FCS playoffs just a few years ago, but only won 6 games in the 2 years Mangas was OC.
Not saying he will be a bad hire as an analyst, but let's not make excuses for his offense just because of where he was before. It sucked even for W&M.

I wonder how many people here knew that we kept kragthorpe for all these years as an analyst...he just left this offseason.

Some of y’all need to go look at analysts around the SEC...they’re mostly “interns” right out of college, or fired coaches. This guy is young and has experience coordinating an offense and calling plays. He likely has a unique perspective that a kid right out of college doesn’t have. The numbers his offense put up at W&M mean jack shite to LSU.

I go to William and Mary. Let’s just say I’m not very inspired by this signing, but at the same time the talent here is, well....

You never know with these kinds of schools. Obviously, they aren't recruiting anyone of note. Also, an injury to one player (QB or skill position) could KILL their entire offense.
To make a fair assessment, you'd actually have to watch tape to see how he runs his offense and look for any outside factors.

Is he any good at advising the HC to review? 10 of these Offensive analyst cost us the FL and A&M game.

How many All Conferance players did William & Mary have? All American? Draftees to the NFL?

He’ll fit right in

WILLIAM and MARY has bee an FCS offensive power in the past. The program declined recently as the head coach, Jimmye Laycock, hung on too long. The offensive numbers may be more of a reflection of the talent and program decline than our new coach’s ability. Laycock had an innovative offense throughout the 80’s and into the 2000’s with heavy passing stats. He retired this year. This new guy could be really good.

The ignorant comments in this thread shouldn't be surprising but this is the rant.

We're doing this again? He's a fricking analyst. If he was an awesome, ready for the big time coach, he wouldn't be an analyst. They breakdown film and look for trends, etc. It's an entry level or transitional type position.
So should we care that we're hiring analysts or not? Honest question. People seemed to make a big deal out of it at first but when the actual credentials of said analysts are brought up there seems to be a lot of "who cares?". If they're just coffee mules and errand boys then I'm just not going to react one way or the other when we hire one.

I don't understand the negative reactions. It just boggles the mind.
