He probably left because they didn’t make the postseason and he wanted to play against the big boys. Just look at what the sec has to offer.
He probably realized that he’s better than he thought he would be and decided to put his game on a bigger stage.
I know I would.
If I came in and broke an all time homer record for a freshman then I would know that I could get a good nil deal and play on the biggest stage . I’d leave too. He may not be getting any good nil deals at all. If you’re that good then why not be compensated like others are

So you think coaches were promising him to play a position he wasn’t good at ? Idk if I could see jj or others doing that. Even if so , he was a freshman last year. If he can’t play third to a degree that’s acceptable then he will dh . We have a spot open for third though

State is basically the Ole Miss of the ACC, just with more recent basketball titles. If they can find a way to mess it up, they will.
And yes, I know Ole Miss is in the CWS final. But until they win that, my point stands.

I think it became pretty obvious during the season that CJJ had promised Berry he would play a position other than DH at LSU if he followed him from Arizona.
I don't think it would surprise anyone if CJJ had to essentially “promise” Tommy Tanks a non-DH position for him to transfer to LSU.
