I like the old gold helmets but I didn't like the pant style. IMO, White pants and jersey and the white helmets someone put on here this past week were better. Maybe instead of mustard yellow add the old gold to that uniform?

didn't like them going into the game, but i have to say they look a lot better "in use" than they did in the pics

My Dad had an old pick, I think from the 40's or 50's, Plain old gold helmets and Dark purple jerseys. Looked good though. The gold last night looked good, but was too copper for me.

The consensus, from what I heard at the game, and I agree .. the uniforms looked OK, not horrible, kinda cool, but, it ain't LSU.

The tulane game unis would have been awesome were it not for the "phoenix" on the shoulder. had they just worn the regular purples with white pants and white hats, it would have looked sharp.

the majority has spoken, they want the combat unis with some tweaking:
old gold helmet, but I agree more goldish and less copperish.
old gold pants, not white
jersey striping more inline with current unis

I thought they were cool (for 1 night). I would not want them permanently but it was fun to do for a night.

i could get behind our current uni but w/ gold replacing the yellow. however, i'm just used to our teams looking a certain way. i generally hate the experimenting w/ the uniforms.
fwiw, i remember reading a quote from joe pa saying the reason he never changed penn st's plain uni's was for branding purposes. he wanted it obvious to anyone watching, for even a split second, that the player on tv was from penn st. he felt it was a big part of having a national identify.

Same uniforms we currently use...just using this new/old gold color instead of Big Bird Yellow.
