It’s called tradition. You would think a college coach would be aware of what makes the program they are leading unique.
Does BK let the team vote on what time curfew is?
Does the team vote on how long to practice?
Does the team vote on whether to take the ball or defer when we win the coin toss?
Some things shouldn’t be left up to a team vote. And breaking school tradition is one of them.

Well, a large number of the schools in the NCAA don't mind YOUR definition of breaking tradition. Such as Oregon doesn't...Miami, FL doesn't....Oklahoma doesn't...Ole Miss doesn't...Tennessee doesn't...and NO ONE has more tradition than Notre Dame and they don't either. Perhaps you should join the 21st century and quit wasting time on some of your other pursuits. Like quit chasing kids off your lawn.

I don’t give a shite about any of the schools you just listed. Notre Dame’s uniforms last week were some of the worst I’ve ever seen.

There are pics of Billy Cannon playing in a gold jersey. At one point, tradition was old gold. Then we wore purple jerseys for only about 11-12 years bc the NCAA rules. What time frame does something need to happen to be tradition?

Let’s go ahead and change the goal posts and quit marking the field every 5 yards while we are at it. Let the team off the bus at the door to the locker room and cancel the band marching down the hill.
Cancel all of our traditions. Let the 21 year olds from Baltimore, Maryland remake LSU to how they want it.

I fricking despise Ole Miss and Notre Dame but their uniforms (most of them) are better than Penn State, Utexas, or bama.

I don’t need a recap. I lived those things (minus dietzel breaking our traditions in the 50’s). But you still missed the point. Purple jerseys were a small part of the history here but now they are considered traditional uniforms.

This is all Player driven from what I’m hearing. BK meets with the players on Monday and they have influence over the uniform selection.

GPG wasn’t a thing except from 1983 thru 1994 and that was bc the NCAA forced our hand.
