I think Bama is our biggest rival but which school think's we're there biggest rival?
Bama is Auburn, Auburn is Bama, Gaytors is FSU. So is it Ole Miss or Arky?

Most people consider a rivalry to be something that is developed over time. Long before there was such a thing as the internet, LSU had established long-standing rivalries with Tulane, Ole Miss, and Alabama. The invention of the internet and then this message board did not erase the 100+ years of LSU football that came beforehand.
I understand that rivalries change over time. We once considered Texas A&M a big rival. Not so much anymore. Tulane was once our most hated rival. The fact that we don't play Tulane every year (among other things) has contributed to the decline of that rivalry.
But, no matter what, a rivalry cannot exist between two teams that do not engage in regular head-to-head competition. That means that USC is not our "rival," notwithstanding the fact that the participants on this message board talk about USC quite often.

USC is NOT a rival!! They are simply a team we love to hate, like Notre Dame. A rivalry is two sided, and full of hatred, and history. Top 3 are as follows:
1. Bammer- LSU fans absolutely hate that team to the east, and have for years. Add in That Short arse and you have the #1 rival for us. Bammer fans might not be as full of hatred, but every player and coach on the roster knows who they have to beat to be the best in the west.
2. Auburn- this is a two sided hate fest. Every fan from both of these schools hates the other school. The games are always physical, and for a while, decided the SEC West Champion. The only reason its not #1 is because of the resurgence of the other team in that state and their coach.
3. Florida/ Ole Piss- Take your pick here. The hatred and history runs deeper in the Ole Piss series, but OlePiss sucks! For the most part the games have counted for nothing since the 70s or 80s. The Florida series is not as much of a hate fest, but the games always count, and the two teams know each year that the most talented team they'll play all year is the other team.
