I've watched every game. I'm just not impressed that his offense is that much different than what we had been running. Take away all the pre snap movement and we're running the same power offense and deep ball game that we've been running for years. We still don't have a creative short passing game to take pressure off the run game.

We'd kill Florida if we played them right now.
And, if we played Auburn (at home), I'd like our chances now way more than I did when we played them originally. It would be a toss up game IMO.
I think you are strangely focused on the wrong thing. This team has improved a ton. Those that feel good about it feel good for that reason. They aren't looking back at MSU and suggesting we were good then.
It's strange that this has to be explained to you.

Auburn was not a choke. You dont choke a 20 point lead by getting out played thoroughly for 3 quarters of the damn game. That is simply getting beat. Some of you guys just say stupid shite. LSU WON the game. Period.

If we ran the exact same plays with the exact same players and got the exact same results only with Les as our coach and Cameron as our OC, people would be miserable and want them both shitcanned. Or murdered. For what we are paying Canada, we should be getting much better results. Even in his 1st year. Even with Danny Etling as his QB.

Who anointed Canada "one of the best OCs"? Based on what? Being fired at NC State for not developing QBs and not running Tempo? NC State is doing better without him.
WISC is 10-0 and ranked #4 and seems to have done well without Aranda.
But Alleva chose to make them the highest paid OCs in the country.
Tempo has definitely been a huge need for LSU. They rank 123rd in plays per game and 32nd in Time of Possession which makes them "glacially" slow. Etling is reading plays and explaining them like it is the first time he has run them.

I'm pretty sure almost everyone on this board anointed him one of the best.
Which makes me wonder what happened to the no-huddle we saw in the first few drives of the BYU game? Did Canada realize Etling wasn't capable of running it? Hopefully Narcisse can next year, and we'll have better tempo.

Team is clawing its way back up. Definitely trending up. That O/L seems to be improving with each game. I was surprised at how this O/L scrapped with Bama...toe-to-toe. Junk yard dawg baby. This is a good team on the verge of being a great team. Matt Canada be the man.

The Tigers have only 2 stars at the skill positions, Guice and Chark. There is not much to work with for Canada. We have at best an average QB, no elite wideouts (besides Chark) or TEs.
