Even without the P&G glasses... I actually think Mett has the most upside in this class. He has all the raw talent, and has proven to be very coachable.

It all depends on the team that drafts Mett. He would excel the best in somewhere like Arizona or St. Louis that has a QB that could potentially not be around for them much longer and they both have good weapons around them. Just my opinion though

I agree with that. I also think he would excel in a vertical play action passing attack. Like Arizona or Houston.

You've pretty much taken the words out of my mouth regarding Mett and Bridgewater. I don't think he'll be a bad NFL QB rather solid, above average at best, and certainly not worth a first overall pick. That's why I think the Texans best plan would be to take Clowney #1, best OT or ILB with their second and get Mett in the 3rd, assuming his stock doesn't consistently rise in the coming months.

Don't even get me started on Bortles. Gabbert 2.0. I don't get it really. Yeah he's big but his arm is average at best, his mobility is a tad overrated and he's not near as accurate as others in this draft.

Better Defenses?

Sec hasn't seen the quality at qb before. Look at the returning starters from game 1. Nick Marshall and bo Wallace? Every other team has a?. Arkansas returns a lot but also returns their coach.

Defense will win the sec, qb won't.

It will be interesting following Bridgewaters NFL career. I think he will have a better run than Mett but that's just my opinion.

would you rather start, Schaub or Bridgewater

Schaub but only because of his experience and knowing thenTexans system. I dont know how that one is really up for debate. People underestimate the difference between pro ball and college ball, especially if one has never taken a snap in the nfl

yall can call me crazy for this, but I think he's the black Aaron Rodgers. Around the same height and mobile, but pass first mindset. Big arms, but not cannons. They offset that by having a very quick release. Both are known for their accuracy too.

He's going to be good for whoever drafts him.

That was one game against one of, if not the most overrated team that year. Not saying Bridgewater sucks. I think he'll make a fine nfl Qb with an above average, maybe top 10-12 Qb in the nfl ceiling. I just think he's a bit of a product of the media.

Did you see Mett against them that same year and the next year? He's definitely not a product of the media. Blake Bortles is though.

Not necessarily crazy but a bit premature. It's tough to predict how college QB's will transfer into the NfL style, especially someone who regularly faced defenses like Teddy.

I think a better question would be why can't lsu get wide open receivers on a consistent basis like that? You'd think with the rushing capability we've had that would be more frequent but its not.

4.77

That's why.

Obviously it's just my opinion from having watched them all play, but I just don't see an Andrew Luck "step right in and be the guy" this year.

What about guys like Cam, Wilson, Dalton and RG3? All played good from the start. I'd say he is definitely on part with them. Wilson has a bunch of scrub WRs, RG3 had all of Garçon who was just a decent #2 in Indy. Cam had aging Steve Smith and #3 WR Lafell. Dalton had AJ Green.

He doesn't look like the flops everybody kept grasping for like Ponder, Locker, Gabbert(sp?), Tebow, McCoy, Bradford. Guys that go way ahead of where they should have.

He's definitely better than those guys, and is most likely a day one starter. But an impact player and that next piece to get the Texans over the hump? I don't know about that. I'm honestly just wondering what you think...today who is better/ would you rather start, Schaub or Bridgewater?

You don't think he's better than Keenum or Shaub, really? With the talent they have on offense, he can step in day one, and lead that team to the playoffs.

Bridgewater is good and accurate. The problem I see is how far can he go. I think Mett has the better upside. Yeah Wilson won the super bowl, But he's not better than manning and never will be, same as kapernick. Those teams live or die by defense. With a semblence of an oline and a good Oc, was miles better.

What more upside do you see in Mett over Bridgewater? Mett still can barely read pre snap defenses, and he is slower than Tom Brady. I only see a cannon arm and big frame. This is dumb as hell if you think Mett could reach Mannings level going purely off nothing.

Why does Wilson or any other QB have to be good as Manning? Why are you dissing Kap and Wilson?

What ifs don't matter. What if Teddy was coached under cam for 4 years?
Right now I don't think its even close by a mile. Teddy is more NFL ready and you will see that represented in the draft all injury aside.
That said I think Mett has a great future and possibly a higher ceiling than Teddy but will take a good staff and some patience from a FO.

If you're confident in your opinion take it outside the Tiger Rant where everyone is an LSU fan and say it on the MSB.

Mett has a great arm, likely the best arm in the class, but just like everything else, there are tons of them who are huge busts.

What is his game preparation like? Everyone raves about Bridgewater knowing everything and being a film junkie. That is one of the huges pieces in the NFL, how much prep time you put in. I don't know Mett as well since he hasn't gotten as much hype throughout the last 2 years, but I know what I've heard about Bridgewater and I like it as a fan of a team investing in a QB
