quote:I remember Dylan Crews hitting one about 440 the other way against LA Tech on (I think) a Monday night after opening weekend and thinking the same thing.
Konnor Griffin just hit one over the spring training green monster against the Red Sox. But guys like him should definitely be forced to go to school so he could be in his sophomore year at LSU instead of preparing to make the opening day roster in the majors.

Also, I'm not sure Milam is going to be a high draft pick. I'm not sure how much power he projects at the next level for his size.
lol he is a top 50 prospect for 2026 draft. Projects as a 2B at next level.

Milam might be the best pound for pound player in college baseball, as he is one of the smaller players in college baseball. Don’t let the size fool you though, he is a legit switch hitter with a similar swing from both sides of the plate. He has a leg kick but gets the foot down on time well and has a compact, quick swing. He does a better job transferring his weight through the ball as a lefty and there is more power potential on that side, although the power upside is fringe average. Defensively, he can handle himself alright at short, but his future is at second base. There his arm strength isn’t as much of an issue and his actions work better. The hands themselves on the defensive end are second to none, as he has soft, sure hands capable of making the most difficult short hop look like a weak roller.

Can’t love the Monster anymore than I’m sure ALL LSU fans do but he should take the best deal he gets.
He is a super College baseball player, Tiger Legend, and leader but the Bigs is a whole different animal. I’m selfish and wish they all would exhaust their eligibility but Hey this is life for them.
