Well he gave Jimbo the absolutely ridiculous $75m guaranteed contract.

It seemed ridiculous at the time, but it’s actually not looking as bad now. $7.5mil per is actually below current market rate for Jimbo or a similar Coach right now.

They took a big gamble on the term, but every year that passes without Jimbo tanking that contract looks better and better.

CEO would be a perfect replacement for Mason.

He'd easily get a P5 job if he wanted one. There are a lot of schools who would love to have him as their coach. You think Vanderbilt wouldn't hire him?

This is in no way meant to advocate for him being the LSU head coach or justify his contract, but there are a lot of mediocre P5 schools that would hire him.

Not supposed to talk about this yet, but frick it... We’re getting 2 new coordinators and atleast 4 position coaches. Have fun firing up the coaching hot board, because it’s coming before Spring. This is O’s Hail Mary... He fricks this up and he’s gone after next year.

Vol, where was this in the binder?

By the way I believe you. I think E steps down and that Pelini is fired. O, if he didn't last year, should offer Brady the OC job and if he turns it down so be it. Ask him who he likes as an OC. Not saying the guy knows it all but he only directed the best offense in the history of college football.

I would go after Elco and the Clemson DC. No do I think either would leave but have to ask the question. I like Charlie Strong. Some guys are not meant to be HC and I think he is one of them.

10 year contracts should only go to people like saban, and Dabo

Urban can't be trusted he would stick that long...so he probably wouldn't sign a 10 year deal

Saban is now 70...a ten year deal with him wouldn't be a good idea

Brady was offered OC and accepted, then Carolina stole him. He hates College and having to kiss the arse of 17-18 year old kids all day for recruiting. Plus, his agent has already been getting hit up about interviewing him for HC gigs in the NFL. Long story short, Brady isn’t coming back

Want to hear some seriously funny shite? Vandy reached out to Scott Cochran’s agent to see if he’d be interested in possibly interviewing for their HC gig

He may not get another year because of Title IX. Woodward has basically isolated O and, they are no longer on speaking terms. O’s antics are getting out of control.

just curious, but how does Will Wade continue to get a pass?

That sounds a little crazy tbh

People thought the same about Miles (who had a much larger national appeal) when he was fired. He sat on his arse for 2 years before taking what might be one of the worst P5 jobs in the country.

No, I don't.

I don't know if there's one that would hire him, especially with all the Title IX allegations.

Someone posted on TD this weekend saying that O and Woody are not on speaking terms. Any truth to this? If so, how bad is it?

they did what they had to do to get Jimbo.

Looked ridiculous at the time, but it's an investment that may pay off in the long run.

He's got his team playing physical and disciplined, Kellen Mond withstanding, of course.

Some teams are on the up slope while others are on the down...

Wade's players aren't beating/sexually assaulting girls

The only way its worth it is if he wins a NC

They are good this year but not NC good

Pure speculation maybe Wade doesn't have all of the little baggage that O has which has expedited all of this.

Outside of paying recruits which every single team and sport does in the country there is nothing negative about wade.

O on the other hand has little distracting baggage.

I would take Urban in a heartbeat but scared he would leave after a couple years. He doesn’t seem like he really wants to coach anymore. We need someone relatively young and VERY hungry.
