This incident was a lower conf coach not realizing that the P5 conference umps take no prisoners on this issue. A few wks earlier CJJ was ejected in the dugout vs Ark. The rule is clear and is enforced. It is my suspicion that the Sunbelt umps gave Schnall a lot more rope in the season…

They are standing by the arguing balls and strikes narrative to cover for the inept home plate ump and his terrible ejection!

The explanation of why they were given a warning is what caused the ejection. It was a trrrible call and completely on the home plate u,p for escalating it.
All he had to do was answer the head coach the first time he asked him why they got a warning but he wouldn’t. He escalated it and made himself a part of the game and the rest is history.
