How fast the odds can change:
It’s top of the 8th, game tied at 9-9 North Dakota has a man on third with one out. What are the odds the man on 3rd scores? What are the odds ND wins with a 10-9 lead if he scores?
According to the charts, there was over an 80% chance the guy from third scores with I only one out.
Getting the next two outs changed the game odds dramatically. LSU then goes into the bottom of the 8th with six at bats (bottom of eighth and ninth). ND is tied with only 3 at bats. In two batters, the betting odds flipped dramatically to LSU’s favor.
That used to not make any diffenrce to gamblers, your bet was locked in at game time. Now that you can bet on just about everything, even during a game, at some casino books, it changes betting strategies.
As I am typing this LSU has bases loaded with one out, tired at 9 in the 8th. LSU has gone from underdog to heavy favorite in less than an inning.
