So you follow the team when they are doing well, but don’t really consider yourself a fan, got it.
LSU went through many years of shitty games, but game day always have my juices flowing because it was 1 of about 12 days a year that the Tigers played.
I bet you disconnect your Xbox when you go down by 2 touchdowns on madden.
Taking a beating is part of life. It makes you tougher in the long run. Take your lumps, learn and improve. Anytime, any place. That should be the mindset.

I enjoy watching my alma mater and I enjoy the overall “event” that is a game.
I also recognize that getting one’s butt kicked can be the very thing that wakes someone up to the need to get better. The game was an opportunity for the players to learn and to grow.
Now it’s a missed opportunity for team/player growth and for me to experience one of those 12 (or so) magical gameday experiences. Personally, I’m bummed about it.

Well some of us have never seen this level of suckege before. I started school in 05 and yes there were some bad years but never like this. I’m actually looking forward to basketball season and I hate basketball. I can relate to the op cuck unfortunately.

Even if we would've lost by 100, I would still want to watch them and I'd still want to watch them play, at least when it's close in the beginning.

You're missing the bigger picture which isn't surprising. Our players are inexperienced and need game reps especially reps in this game so they will know what to expect next season. We haven't even played a ranked team yet. You want the players to see what it's like to prepare for and play the number 1 team in the country so that they don't get overwhelmed next season when we hopefully have a better shot at winning the game.
Also, you sound like a gaping pussy being scared to lose a football game. These are the kind of games that recruits come to LSU to play in.

frick this. I would never not want to play a team just because of the type of season my team was having or because of how good the other team might be.
And if any player has this type of attitude, I wouldn't want them to play with me.
If we get out arse handed to us, we get our arse handed to us, but at the very least, the young and experienced get to learn the level they need to be at in order to compete with the best.
