let me get you kick started with a name that might cause some cognitive dissonance. i don't think this is even one of the 3 or 4 best names out there.
look up o'sullivan's number of cws appearances and his record since the 2010 season. compare to mainieri. blind resume test - who is better?

Neither. O'Sullivan should be in the same boat as Mainieri. Sully should have won the national title at least once in these last few years

quote:the problem with your point (national seeds, average, mediocre) is that it is completely out of context. go look up how much lsu spends vs how much everyone else spends. then look up records. then tell me which schools are getting the best roi. regardless of the semantics, lsu is not getting results commensurate with the investment. not even close
It means that LSU is neither average nor mediocre which is the point of my post.

quote:this is called ad hoc. just making up some silly qualifier without any substantiation. and you didn't finish the blind resume test. hint - o'sullivan is kicking mainieri's butt

Yeah Smoke worked out pretty well.

Out of context? I was responding directly to someone saying that LSU was mediocre.
People are looking for the Nick Saban of the college baseball world and there is a very, very small chance of that person existing.

Florida won a national championship? I must've missed that.

If winning an SEC championship and losing a super regional to the national champion is what you consider mediocre, you need to check your expectations.

Smoke went to back to back World Series hosted a super and a regional and won an outright sec title in 5 seasons. How's not just as good as CPM's last 5 years? If we gave Smoke the slack we give CPM we'd be in better shape right now.

Florida won a national championship?
again, o'sullivan is WAY more competitive in omaha since '09. it's not close

Were you not in the stands at the old Box in Smoke's last season when fans were holding up signs that said, "Make the Box Smoke-free!"???
I was. Smoke lost the fans two years before Skip fired him.
