He has to be better than Cregg though, so overall a positive change.
What great OL coach can you pull this late in the game and with a "Lame Duck" HC that absolutely must win 9 or 10 games to be back in 2022? Few are coming here under that scenario.
We hired a guy that last coached at Bottom Feeders Missouri and Arkansas. (Not Alabama, Ohio State or Clemson) Just hope that he can come in here and do a better job (Than Cregg) with 5 returning OL starters and be able to coach the Peetz/Mangas/Brady Spread Offense better than Cregg would have been able to.
BTW, how the traditionally weak recruiting Cregg was able to pull Dellinger out of Michigan this year and Campbell/Bordelon/Taylor in 22 is a mystery. Just hope that all of them take a liking to Davis and don't decide to say Farewell and Adieu LSU.......

Do you know who Ohio State's offensive line coach is? Look it up.
Also, Clemson's o-line coach was hired out of....Vanderbilt.

I can't wait to see what he will do with the offensive line. Hopefully, he will move Austin Deculus to right guard and Cameron Wire to right tackle.

we give everyone else silly money. LSU should have offered upped the ante until he said yes. Now we have another 3-4 years of mediocrity on the oline. If you can't recruit the best olinemen, you are just pissing in the wind about winning any titles of any kind. KW would change that for LSU imo.

Damn people. Pittman was one of the 5 best OL coaches in college football without question. He wouldn’t have hired Davis if he didn’t see some huge talent and potential there. This is a strong hire.

How did they get to clemson, bama, and ohio state. Are you really this dumb?

We hired a guy who was hired by and was working for one of the top 5 OL coaches in college football before he took the Arkansas job. It helps if you actually know something about college football when you try to talk about it.
