Collins couldn't sniff the field his first year even though we needed more depth.
So you are saying Maea Teuhema won't see the field because Collins played sparingly 4 years ago under different o-line coaching?
Seems legit.

What really concerns me is how good will our offensive line be? Yes we do have a lot of young unproven talent but will they step up and gel together. We lose a ton and if Vadal goes we lose even more. Add in the TE's we lose as well. We shall see. I think this will be the biggest question mark on this team along with QB.

my guess would be
LT-pocic
LG-vadal (hopefully)
c-dodd
rg-boutte
rt-hawkins
I don't think you are keeping Hawkins unless Hawkins is LT...and even that is questionable.

these threads are fricking stupid. start one after the junior declare, then we can have a real discussion

teuhema will play AT LEAST as much as pocic did as a freshman.

Vadal needs to lose weight.

He played guard in multiple games earlier this year.

I think everyone likes the idea of Vadal much more than Vadal's actual play. That guy has gotten worse since he's been here.
Vadal has been dominant the last few games. LSU has found a great combination of complimentary lineman. Collins and Vadal are providing the power, Porter is providing adequate (barely) finesse, and Pocic is wreaking havoc with the linebackers. When defenses start cheating right, LSU has enough power in Hawkins and Pocic, to make them pay.
You might be right about work ethic, though. I wouldn't know.

I would have to think there is a solid chance he plays a significant role next year.
I doubt it. Remember, on the offensive line there are only five significant roles. You either start, or you sit the bench. You can't substitute for offensive lineman; it'd be like substituting in an aerial trapeze act - too much coordination required.
But Bama played a true freshman, so I guess it could happen.

Link?
LINK -- You may have to pause it to catch it.
Dodd is playing center. Boutte is the RG (#76). Washington is at RT.
I can try to find another link if you want, but I know I saw him at guard in multiple games -- at the end of the blowouts.

As long as our Guards and centers are good.. in the les miles offense.. we'll be able to run the football.

He will be a great guard i think and its time for him to gwt significant playing time next year.
How about the other guard? Brumfield?

It's too early for me to try to make any predictions, but I do think Boutte and Brumfield have legit potential to be great guards at LSU.
