If Perry Riley went early 4th round last year then I think Shep can go in the 3rd round this year.

Realize that the Senior Bowl has yet to be played and the combine and individual workouts have yet to be conducted, but where do you see everyone going?

Peterson?
Nevis?
Shepard?
Ridley?
Tolliver?
Barksdale?
Jasper?

Peterson - 2nd or 3rd overall pick in the draft
Nevis - Possible Late 1st rounder or Early 2nd Round
Shepard - 3rd
Ridley - 3rd-4th
Tolliver - 5th-6th
Barksdale - Undrafted
Jasper - Undrafted

He is not a nose in the NFL, and not that many teams run a 4-3

Actually I saw something on this recently. Just over half the teams in the NFL run a 4-3. 17 teams run a 4-3 and 15 run a 3-4. It's kind of crazy because they also broke down the total defense rankings and exactly half of the teams in the top 16 (half the league) run 4-3 and 3-4. The 4-3 isn't going anywhere so many different styles of players will continue to get drafted on how they fit into each scheme. I think Drake could play 4-3 tackle or 3-4 end on the next level.

Don't be surprised if he is gone by the end of the 3rd.

Bradie James went in the 4th.

I thought I saw that Jasper is considered the best kicker prospect this year?? If so, kickers have gone in the 3d round (of course rarely)... Jasper IMO should be a 6th rounder

If he is going 6th or 7th round then it's probably best that he goes UDFA...That way he can pick his team and competition...Where ever he goes I think he has a great chance of making a roster...

According to SI's Tony Pauline, LSU OT Joseph Barksdale has "improved his draft stock significantly" on the East-West Shrine practice field.

A 39-game starter in college, Barksdale left the Tigers with a reputation for being an underachiever but has reportedly excelled in pass protection in Orlando while showing terrific fundamentals and strength. He weighed in at 6'5/336 earlier in the week. Barksdale has all the tools to be a long-term starter in the NFL, but in game settings has often lacked ideal physicality.

Just a little tidbit.

I didn't purposely respond to your post directly. Just posting a tidbit on the predictions.

Talking with a draft guy the other day, he was saying how Barksdale could improve his draft stock in the game.

Barksdale was a preseason 1st rounder, much like Ciron Black was, however, once the season started going his draft stock went waaaaayyy down.

There's no denying the talent level of our players coming out... which is why they were all highly recruited. It sucks that we couldn't develop and maximize their potential in college. With some good coaching and a better system, our players have as good as a chance to thrive at the next level as anyone else. I'm happy Barksdale and Tolliver are both doing well... hope they go within the top 3 rounds.
