LSU had a significant advantage at play making positions over Bama and could have made use of them with Mett. I'm sure when Les looks back on his career one day last season will be one of his biggest regrets.
sticking with JJ the previous year was one thing, but you had a better QB on campus and still couldn't end your love affair with him.

fact is the guy had an unlimited amount of opportunities to prove himself and was consistently terrible, mediocre on his best
that's some revisionist history to say he was consistiently terrrible. He had his ups and his downs in his days at LSU. His detractors seem to want to forget that. There were some mistakes made with the offense philisophy that really didn't let Lee and Jefferson get untracked the way they could have. Miles says he is going to make a change in the offense philosphy nest season and hopefully that's the case. But don't be hating on JJ and JL. They are both good average QB's.

There was NOTHING Mett could do to get any game time from Les. NOTHING.

He would have to have Locked JJ/JL up in a locker before the game.

I wish JL would be there, it would only fuel the fire.
Think about the tension on march 19th inside that building. Wow

Mett was going to have to be squeaky clean and say the perfect things on and off the field from the moment he stepped on campus+Lee and JJ look bad in practice to have a prayer of starting. From what Ive seen the guy is a cocky sucker which personally I like that in a qb. However its not the way to win over Les Miles when there are two seniors at your position.

JJ has come a long way. Was it that he had never played qb until his Jr year at destrahan? Just wondering...heard that somewhere. Heard he was always a project and could excel one day
JJ and destrehan won championships his junior and senior years

any concern about the lack of a big WR for you? (unless James Wright can become that guy for us)

les would have done everything in his power to reschedule the game if jj had gone missing
