Group of 5 headed to Gainesville will be there early Saturday morning. Any suggestions on where to party and what is the parking situation like?

we will be getting to gainesville around 5am friday morning, plan on sleeping for a few hours, then going around scouting places to setup the tailgate.

Are you going to have access to e-mail? Let me know where you guys end up setting up. I live in Fleming Island, FL, about an hour away on the southwest end of Jacksonville. I have my old college roommate coming down from Shreveport to join me, and we're looking for a place to hang out. Right now, I have a cooler of Abita, but I can bring more - let me know...

I live in Destin/Ft Walton and will be heading to Gainesville early AM on Saturday.

Will have a group of 4, we can contribute booze, beer, ice chests, chairs, music, maybe a tent and am willing to pitch in cash for food and anything else needed.

Just let us know where we need to meet up at.

I have a place on the beach in the Destin area if anyone is looking for a place to party/crash Friday night.

Staying in Jacksonville at the Hyatt, going to party 0-60mph that Friday night. Looking for recommendations. Then driving into Gainesville late Saturday morning to tailgate with you guys. I can certainly contribute to beer. Just let me know if you guys have a preference.

I'm not familiar with how this works, but I assume when you fellas find a final location somebody can provide an address so we can all GPS it.

If you are staying at the Hyatt, you will be right next to the Landing. Walk outside the hotel on the river side, turn right, and walk 100 yards.

I am planning on picking up my old college roommate at the airport Friday night and stopping at the Landing for a beer or two. Last year, there were a few Tigers at the Landing. Beautiful scenery right on the water.

I would like to suggest that any Tiger Fans in Jacksonville Friday night should come down to the Landing. It has one of the best Hooters I've ever been to, along with a bunch of other restaurants and bars - from fine dining to casual (including a Cajun restaurant that I haven't been to). There will be live music, as well. Pretty nice, if you haven't been before.

Awesome! Great info thanks. I hope that place will be packed with Tiger fans. The TAF has a charter package from BR that is staying there, so hopefully there will be quite a few of us.

jac1280, me and my girl are planning on coming to your tailgate......now whether it's just yours or a combination of yours and the 2 or 3 other people that have talked about joining forces I don't know.

Question: would it be better for you if we just gave you money $40-$50 for the 2 of us or would you rather us bring some food. Nick was talking about going to Sam's and getting a whole bunch of food, but if it's easier on you if I just give you some cash let me know. I can even pay you in advance.

I just want to make this thing as easy on you as possible, so just let me know.

i would say just bring some food and beer, i think thats what most people are doing. we will have 1 small grill and 2 rice cookers with us, but im hoping at least 1 person is bringing a bigger grill so we can cook more food at once.
