You said he should use his leverage implying he wouldn't have it if he came back
You're seriously taking things out of context. I wasn't saying he would lose it. And if I did that was not my intent and I apologize. I was saying for him to use it this year because he had a good finish to the year that it would help with his negotiation.

But that's pretty much exactly what you said.

This is where you are way off base. You think a MLB team is going to say, "oh, you hit well the final 2 weeks of the season, here is a lot more money." You are missing the boat on how the MLB draft works, but you apparently can't be convinced otherwise.
And again, I'm not saying Slaughter will certainly NOT sign. I just think the reward for returning far out weighs his risk. I don't think he is drafted any lower next season, even with a less than stellar season.

Dude take the L. You’re wrong . You shouldn’t have mentioned leverage if that isn’t what you meant

Sanders does have big league stuff. It's his control that caused problems. When he's around the zone and demonstrates command, he's very tough to hit. That's where the inconsistency shows up and you get inflated numbers.

The Brewers also took a couple of prep players who would have gone earlier if not for strong college commitments. Outfielder Elijah Cabell, taken in the 14th round, is expected to go to LSU.
In the 29th round, the Brewers took a flier on shortstop Nander De Sedas, originally expected to go in the first two rounds. Shortly after that announcement, De Dedas posted on Twitter that he was honoring his commitment to Florida State, the reason teams passed on him in the early going.
"Cabell and De Sedas were higher-profile kids," Johnson said. "We obviously knew them well. We took the opportunity that if they decided at a later date they wanted to start their pro careers, we can talk about that. Is it likely? I don't know."

That's good news sounds like!

Where the hell are we going to put all these studs?
This class is setting up for LSU to not just have a good run next season, but we will be set for 3 years based on this class alone. CPM has to be a happy camper right now.

So they have to find a way to cut at least 9. Wow.

Agreed, I may start a thread later comparing Mainieri's monumental classes of 07, 10, 14, and 18.

If only there were 10 teams to compete with each season for the championship, instead of about 40.
CPM will get him another one in the next 3 years though. I see 3 national seeds, 3 trips to Omaha and bringing home the title in one of those years as a real possibility.
Do you know how many of these in this class are going to be eligible for the draft as sophomores?

What are he chances he tells a few recruits we don’t have room? Like maybe signing & placing a potential grade casualty for next years cycle

These things usually work themselves out. I don't think it'll be an issue. Maybe 1-2 decisions to make when its all said and done, which isn't anything out of the ordinary.

So we need to get from 44 to 35?

Essentially.
There are circumstances where we could have more than 35 on the roster, but I think we'd all prefer that not happen.
