For you trivia buffs. What game was this picture taken after?

Michigan State pulling a major upset of OSU in 1998...they wouldv'e been heading to the first ever BCS MNC I think that season if that didn't happen...

I'm not 100% sure tho but I Think I'm right...

"Maybe we should put some people in our shoes," Ohio State quarterback Todd Boeckman said. "It's tough going through the Big Ten. It's brutal. Teams come at you each and every week and they're always tough, hard-nosed football games. It's a very, very tough thing to do."
The preseason SOS really shows that, too...

Here's the Big10:

Michigan St. = 10
Michigan = 12
Ohio State = 24
Penn St. = 27
Purdue = 29
Illinois = 32
Wisconsin = 40
Indiana = 51

Yup back in 1998 by a Nick Saban coached MSU team who lost the next week to Purdue.

The OSU guy who posted 3rd does have somewhat of a point. I mean the Big Ten isn't the SEC, but that isn't to say it's an absolute walk in the park.

Though it does seem pretty easy a lot of the time. OSU at the top and that's it.

That loss is one of the toughest in OSU history...depending on the generation some might say it was worse than the Florida loss....

Ok, so the third best conference by SOS...if you really want to laugh look at the Big 12/East ACC. Some people act like OSU is in the MAC for fricks sake.

Yes, since MSU was 4-4 and unranked and playing in Columbus and the 95 and 96 teams were undefeated until the Michigan games.

Losing to a great team is one thing, but losing to a shite team when you are fielding one of your best is another whole thing.

OK. So let's say Miss St. comes ready to play LSU. It ain't gonna matter. If a fact, making through the Big 10 is easier than making it through the SEC. The last two NC games was an idication of that.

I believe 98 MSU, and FWIW, I bawled for 30 minutes or so after that game (I was really young then, though).

1998 OSU was perhaps the best team Ohio State ever had since 1968-1969.

In fairness to Big 10 fans, this is a preseason projection and will invariably change a lot by seasons-end which is when you get a true picture of SOS so hand on.
