You mean the Bama defense that let Arkansas, Florida, and South Carolina move the ball up and down the field on them?
Thank you Antonio. These people are dumb.

yea, and I could shite tomorrow. i don't know, it might happen. Bottom line is, they run what they run, and no one stops it.

Long as jj plays we aren't destroying anyone

We would shut down the run ike we did Ga Tech's even more impressive '08 offense and make Thomas pass his way to win.
And PP7 & Co would have a field day.
I think we could stop them much better than almost any other team. But I think we'd have some serious problems with not being able to sub guys. We sub a lot of guys on D and they move at lightning speed at times on offense. I could see certain guys getting worn out and out of place because we couldn't sub them in time.

I know many would disagree with this, but you're basically watching WVU man for man, with 1 better reciever and a slightly better offensive line, who doesn't ever seem to get called for holding when its obvious.
If these two teams played, it would be a shoot out. Who cares though? We open against Oregon next year.

You didn't respond to my schedule post. Quit drinking the ESPN kool-aid. They run what they run and none of the shitty teams they have played have stopped it. The Stanford win is the only one on that list that actually catches my eye, even though Stanford themselves were/are fairly overrated outside of Andrew luck

We shall have our chance. We play them in the season opener next year at Cowboy Stadium.
talk is cheap.
We will still be wondering when Les will let J lee start when we go to Jerry World to see the Oregon-Nike team in action.

was it the fact they're averaging 9 yards a play?
bc thats why i think we'd destroy them

Keep in mind, they probably couldnt stop our run. The game might unfold something like this. We power the ball down the field.... their defense is already dead tired by the time we step in the endzone on the first drive. If they go three and out that first drive, snapping the ball every 10 seconds between plays, that dead defense is right back on the field, a fast paced offense can screw you if your playing a good defense, because the LAST thing you want, is your defense to be tired.
Don't quote stats. Tennessee was dominating them until the rain delay. I mean THRASHING them. Then they had an hour to go regroup. Besides, Denard Robinson was the man until he played a ranked defense... the second ranked defense he played dropped him out of the race... the pac 10 and big 12 are infamous for not grasping the concept of defense (minus USC).

LSU, BAma, Auburn, Miami, Ohio ST, Duke, NC, Wisconsin, and Wyoming would beat them by 30. Is that what you want to hear? Do I think they would have 600 yards offense against LSU? No, but Oregon is a damn good football team. You cannot be sane and dispute that.

Let me rephrase. We would dominate them all over the field then pull some shocker escape win out of our butt with a clutch jlee drive at the end.

I'm not saying they would lose, but the players are tiny. Our CBs could play on their defensive line.

Their offense works 50x better than whatever it is that WV is doing though...

whoever brings up the mcneese game as a point is a fricking dumbass when it comes to the game of football. Yeah i guess we could have blitzed our asses off and shown them all kind of different packages, left ridley in the entire game, and ran up 60+ points on them but how does that help any better than a 22 point victory in which we gave no new film for future opponents to study. If you think we actually played 50% of our potential go play in traffic immediately
If LSU were that good, they woudl have destroyed McNeese without trying. We are talkng McNeese

Since you chose to make this thread about our QB, I know for a fact that in the year of the pick six we would not have stood a chance against the Ducks.

I think they're a good football team that thrives on execution and a gimmick offense that could be stopped by a top tier defense, they're one of those teams that will score 100 or 10. See against Boise State last year. They got taken out of their element early and completely shut down. Not using that as a measuring stick for this years team, but to say they're the best team is stretching it, and to say their completely unstoppable is laughable

I can't believe you all gave the OP 5 pages worth on this crap.

You keep saying this. Their offense isn't very "gimmicky;" it just constantly creates a mismatch on the LB core of the defense.
