In his first full year as head coach, Orgeron pulled in the 15th ranked recruiting class, 8 spots DOWN from the previous year.
In his first full year as head coach, Fisher currently has the 2nd ranked recruiting class, 15 spots UP from the previous year.

I wish these clowns would spend more time in the football ops building worrying about football than attempting to sway public opinion here.
For all of Miles' faults, at no point were we EVER inundated like this with obvious fake accounts here to spin opinion.
It's utterly pathetic...and obvious.

So you think Greedy was guilty of PI on the play that led to TAMU winning? Even Steve Shaw says it should not have been called?

That is irrelevant if he IS the RIGHT hire at LSU. When Bama brought in Gene Stallings, hiw many schools were knocking? Yet he WAS the right hire.
2 years in and how exactly has he improved LSU? This program (2017 and 2018) is a mirror image to 2015 and 2016. No improvement, still the same problems.
When is he going to be held accountable?

Coach O can get me back on board as a supporter of his by winning the bowl game and finishing very strong with the 2019 recruiting class, especially the recruiting class. If he does neither, it will just show again to me that Alleva made a mediocre high out of expediency.

Do I think LSU was guilty of playing not to lose to end the game in the 4th quarter? Do I think LSU was guilty of playing safe in the 4th OT when they only needed a TD to win?
yes, yes I do.

A&M is currently 2nd and LSU 5th according to 247 composite. LSU has 4 less commits than A&M and is less than 14 points behind. Those three extra recruits LSU can sign will easily put them over the 14 points.
Jimbo is crushing it in recruiting that part of the statement is correct but the “unlike Orgeron” part is false. LSU is also killing it in recruiting.
O does enough for people to attack that are actual facts without needing to make stuff up.

Just get me 10 wins and NY6 bowl every year and I'll take it.

Fisher is killing it on the recruiting trail, unlike Orgeron.
I've never been a huge fan of Ed, but come on now...
Texas A&M has the #2 class (1 five star, 12 four stars)
*top 3 players:*
- Kenyon Green (#13 overall, #3 OT)
- Brian Williams (#47 overall, #2 S)
- DeMarvin Leal (#51 overall, #5 DT)
LSU has the #5 class (3 five stars, 9 four stars)
*top 3 players:*
- Derek Stingley(#2 overall, #1 CB)
- John Emery (#12 overall, #2 RB)
- Kardell Thomas (#28 overall, #2 OG)
And A&M's class is full. LSU can still add 5-6 guys.

Fail. LSU #5 right now in recruiting . Try harder
With this record-setting Louisiana recruiting class, an LSU class ranked 5 is an absolute failure.
Miles would have nailed 1-2 easily with this class.
Under O, Saban is coming in here and taking who he wants and Fisher to the west does not bode well for the future.
Again, you pumpers want to praise O for things that got Miles fired.

Cool. Glad you think LSU has no real shot at being better than 2nd or 3rd best in the conference.

How many folks ready to push Orgeron out the door wanted Hermann or Fisher? Last I saw they still are ranked behind LSU.
These guys did not inherit the players that O did so it's not really even worth discussing. No one knows where we would be if we had hired those guys, good or bad.

LSU should be thankful they got a coach that bleeds Purple and Gold more than any in tesm history.
This is first and foremost irrelevant. Nick Saban bleeds green and gold (championships). Same situation for Meyer. Dabo is a Bama boy.

Yes, I think Orgeron made a mistake at OC but the bizarre inabilty of LSU to land the right quarterback has been just as much a problem as Emsinger.
Who is in charge of landing a good QB? Both the QB situation and the OC are his responsibilities. Bottom line he has to work these issues out before being considered a decent choice. Les Miles produced the exact same results as O. We fired Miles for O.

There are teams that have won national titles such as Nebraska, USC, Texas, and Miami that would kill just to have the national recognition and reputation and coverage LSU has currently.
Those had that recognition then made poor coaching choice after poor coaching choice. Mistakes have consequences. This is exactly what the fans should be trying to avoid.

Orgeron has some great things ahead as the LSU head coach.
I genuinely hope so. He's got some work to do.

Jimbo just beat O straight up, first LSU loss to A&M in eight years. Herman is playing for a conference championship in his second year and has essentially rebuilt the program.

O bleeds purple and gold so much that he used to trash LSU on the recruiting trail when he was at Ole Miss, Tennessee and USC.

What process, signing the worst classes in decades?

What does this even mean? LSU is an afterthought in any discussion of the playoff.

Literally nothing suggests that he is capable of or on the road to greatness.

Well Herman took a team that went 6-7, 5-7, and 5-7 and had gone 7-6 and 9-3 with a conference championship to play against a team they’ve already beat. And he is ranked above us in the AP and Coaches polls. While CFP matters I dont Really think it matters all that louch outside the top 4 at the end.

Orgeron still the right choice. by Anaximander
No, he was not the right choice. but he has exceeded my expectation of keeping the status quo. My hats off to him for that. But I will not move the goalpost like many here. 9-3/9-4/10-3, 3rd in west and putrid offense got miles fired.

How many folks ready to push Orgeron
I was against O getting the job, but once he got it you have to support him and give him minimum of 3 years, just like every coach should get. This coming season is his "money" year. It will show where he has the program headed.

Last I saw they still are ranked behind LSU.
This means absolutely nothing at this point and that line of thought is retarded. Texas was a dumpster fire and now 9-3 playing for there conference championship. AM is heading in the right direction and will be a massive threat under JF, recruiting class is currently ranked in top5. Once again, compare in year 3.

Interesting
I know poster like you, Tigeree, bencoleman will take this as shitting on O and I'm not! Just being honest. He has kept the status quo of the last 7 years and do not see him as the guy to turn the corner to compete for championships.

Sitting at 20 commits. Still can sign 5 more. 20 points separates lsu from Bama at 1. And all but 1 of the teams ranked ahead of LSU have more players currently committed. LSU can easily make a jump into the top 2 or 3. They probably finish 3rd behind Bama and Georgia.

Wanna take a guess on how many in the top 50 in Louisiana are currently committed to Saban? The answer is zero. He does amhave a shot at Sopsher and Devonte Lee (both currently at 95 percent LSU on 247). With it being a record setting class and Saban being able to “get what he wants” you would think he would be able to get more than 2 maybes at this time of the year.

Please explain how you think LSU ends up with a top 5, much less a top 3, class.

All these kids have signed their NLOIs?
Until they sign, their "commitments" are meaningless.
There will be at least one LSU "commitment" that will flip on signing day or shortly before because of concerns about the team/philosophy/commitment to winning championships.

Did Jimbo or Herman hire the previously fired staff’s tight-end coach as OC?
