I am always amazed at the false perception that Skip never lost midweek games. That's completely false.
I looked to see just how false that was, and here is what I found. Mainieri in his ten seasons as LSU's coach is 122-20 in midweek games (this does not include non-conference weekend games), for a percentage of .859. That doesn't include this year's piss-poor 7-6 record. Skip from 1991-2000 (which includes all five national championship seasons) had a 139-42 record for a winning percentage of .768. That also throws out Skip's last season in 2001, where he went 8-6 in midweek games.
I don't disagree with the LEGIT reasons to complain about Mainieri (biggest of which are lack of Omaha and overall post-season success and for me, his propensity to throw his players under the bus and not accept blame for losses), but until this year he has been fairly dominant in midweek games, more so than even Skip.

This is the place where logic and facts die and are thrown by the waste side

What I'm oblivious to is your knowledge of what's actually occuring this baseball season
quote:yeah, you know it's kind of big deal. and no one is melting. people are pointing out facts. you're the one who is melting because anyone dares to question the coach
your melting like a female about the past and how we suck.
quote:you don't know the first thing about me and why do you have to be such a juvenile. why can't you just discuss the topic like an adult?
You're not happy unless you're miserable.

Correct. I used to get upset then, too, lol, but it seemed like every year Skip's teams would have someone step up in the postseason that hadn't done a lot in the regular season.
Gary Hymel, Tim Lanier, Ronnie Rantz, Trey Hodges, Tom Bernhardt, Ben Saxton all had an impact in the post season after average or below average regular seasons. There are more, but I know now Skip used these midweek losses for the bigger picture lessons.

This is pretty close to being the dumbest thread ever started. Good job OP, you suck.

Our baseball dominance is BACK
Posted on 5/13/17 at 3:19 am to Np52478
Slow your roll my friend, auburn sucks. We got dominated by all the state schools except southern, and loss several others to below average schools and you think that we are back. Lol. Three letters should bring you back to earth. TCU

Maybe consider that this is not the same situation during the Skip Bertman days. There are roster limitations which sirens talent out a little more. Other schools also put more money into their programs today. The SEC network gives more money to all the schools too. How idiotic some fans are when they don't realize the changes of the last 15-20 years. And quit using the word 'we' and 'our' because all you have been is a damn spectator. You have not played.

Lol, CWS wins mean jack shite if you don't win the whole damn thing.
And "over the last 7 years" only one program has had their wins equate to 2 championships. And they're on the verge of not even making the tourney this year.

Hey princess all you do is bash the baseball coach because we don't win as much as you would like. You're a fricking roach dude. Nobody wants you around. We are winning and are in position just like every year to accomplish all of our goals and all you do is whine like a little bitch. You say it's not championship or bust for you and complain when we lose in Omaha. You can't even be happy that we make it there. So what do you want? For us to ultimately be bounced out without winning the championship lol? What's the difference? You don't have a clue

Sucks to be you, doesn't it?

This is all you fricking care about and to be honest, it's sad.
Why is it cws wins and not national championships? You laugh at us for wanting just to make it to Omaha. You are using some arbitrary win total in the cws to "prove" your point.
How about this, instead of using CWS wins, how about use CWS Championships. I might get behind your argument then.
Right now LSU is in great spot to make Supers again and a great spot to make it to the CWS. And all you can do is bitch and moan, moan and bitch, that we haven't won more games in the cws the past (insert arbitrary year-year number)

He wants us to win games but ultimately lose in the CWS lol. That's the basis of his argument. It's not about championships he says

see that's what I don't get, I would rather LSU lose 2 games and BBQ 4 years in a row and then win a NC, but ole retard over here wants us to win 2 wins every year for 6 years but never win a NC

He apparently thinks it's such an easy task to make it to Omaha when in a previous thread I named numerous new mid majors and Northern schools that have taken the place of other previous powerhouse baseball schools in Omaha recently. The dude is comical

I think he has a mental problem, or he is a really convincing troll.
