Finebaum has been watching Cowherd too long and is trying to stir things up with these type of comments.

The danger with Steele is that he'll try to outsmart other teams with more complicated defenses--which our kids won't grasp. Who wants another 2008, where players were looking at each other with WTF? looks and gestures.

Finescum's hate for LSU & the state of LA goes deep to his days as a beat writer covering LSU. He got run out of LA & will always be critical of LSU. No matter who LSU hires or signs he will always have negative jab.

I wish people would turn off his radio & tv spots, let him suffer a little humility

PF is a bleaux-hard , and comments only to get click bait and calls ... not to mention the ALL TIME biggest 'Bama homer ever ... my dream fantasy is for Tide to wash down the drain and see PF go whining off to the therapy home..

Defense wasn't the issue in the Championship game. We couldn't move the ball remember

Agreed. We were not sniffing Atlanta. Whether the new faces prove to be an improvement or not is TBD.

Finebaum is proof that you can have a pretty good career without having any talent.

I have yet to watch bama ......i mean SEC network because he is on it.

Chavis didn't seem to have an answer for the hi-lo, or smash as some call it. QB made some nice throws and LSU gave up a lot of field position and FGs.

I have one. You didn't watch the game. Alabama scored one touchdown against the defense, and it was very late in the game.

Don't care much as from listening to him LSU is way down on his list of favorite teams.

What does that have to do with the Defense? If anything, it makes the Defensive performance more impressive. The D was on the field all night and only yielded field goals until the very end. As badly as our offense played LSU was a touchdown away from making it a one score game until 5 minutes to go.

Chavis had some monster defenses, especially 2011

What if I told you.. that even in 2011.. LSU's defensive stats looked exactly identical to the Clemson game in which Steele's team got blown out?

Forget the actual score, because some TDs were off kickoffs and short field turnovers.. but West V put up an insane amount of yards and first downs all over us..

LSU's PLAYERS made that team special. Tyrann kept that game from getting ugly as well as other games in which OUR players forced turnovers.. And LSU made Chavis and as long as they recruit top players they can make another defensive coach with some smarts. Chavis was pretty awful 2 seasons ago and there were games this year the D let us down.. Yes, he had young HIGHLY talented players, but that is where coaching should help make up for that.. and it absolutely did not.

Yet Finebaum loved Steele when he was at bama. He bragged for days about how smart Saban was, once again, for hiring one of the best defensive coaches out there. Steele leaves bama & he immediately becomes a piece of shite. Finebaum also said last wk that Deflategate wouldn't be in the headlines once the teams got to Phoenix. He called BR a "toxic waste dump" several yrs ago & his excuse..he has yet to apologize..was that he had been receiving death threats from that area code for some particularly harsh comments bout the LSU program.

The D played good in the national championship game Problem is Les Miles showed up

Les Miles is the reason that d was so good. He recruits the players, he hires the coaches. So people like you need to just shut the eff up.
