He's the wrong guy for the environment we're in right now. So is O for that matter. Luckily, this will pass
I was happy to see so many of the players looking like they were having fun. That was a win in itself.

First of all, I want to make it very clear that I in no way support Pelini and his "scheme" at this point. I was not for the hire mainly because of his poor track record after leaving LSU the first time.
With that said, I think the players not looking him in the eye or not looking directly at him is not a sign of disrespect. I think it is a cultural difference. African American culture seems to hold that looking away when being chastised by an adult is not disrespectful but is a way of not challenging the adult's authority and escalating the situation at hand.
Over time, research has shown that looking away when being chewed out is not a result of disrespect but a way not to show any outward challenge to the adult's authority,
I can now say after 20 years as a teacher and administrator that it is mostly true. African American Male students will almost always look away when being criticized or corrected.

If Orgeron fails moving forward he won't be the first guy who reached a summit only to get complacent. But we won't know that for at least another year.
Pelini is a coach who is very well liked by his players. His scheme is a proven one, so there is nothing wrong there. The problem is that we don't have the horses this year, and we did not have the normal preseason time needed to implement a new defense. We have this straight from Saban, who was quoted by the announcers this weekend as saying the lack of practice time hurt defenses a lot more than offenses. That is especially true of a defense implementing a new scheme while replacing nine of 12 starters (using 12 to account for nickel and base).

what we need is someone to cuss out pelini..I lived in south dakota(husker fans) during his time in nebraska. and then watched south dakota st beat him down constantly at youngstown. he should thank saban for letting him hold onto those coattails so many years ago. hes worthless. Im hoping the offer the guy at UAB or give Aranda a blank check

Don’t confuse your key board for a pair of balls

I played with Brady in college. We played for a small college version of Bobby Knight. Fundamentally sound but very critical. High School coaches football and basketball were tough but fair.
