+1. Anyone who has played athletics for a long period of time knows they have run across coaches who have special relationships with certain players.

Miles appears to have such a relationship with JJ. Having seen those relationships in my years of athletics, and even once being that player....JJ will start, the only question is how long does Miles wait.

It would take a very bad game by Lee for this to even be considered and then what do you do when JJ stinks? Go back to Lee who's confidence is shattered?

Exactly my point as stated in my other thread.

There is a reason. You may not know or agree with it, but Miles will have some justification to himself.

Miles himself (see my quote) said it would be irresponsible.

This monkeying around with JJ thing is about the only thing that will keep this team from reaching its potential. We haven't had an offense like this one for a few years now. Wow! Are we just stupid? We now have the perfect qb for our system who is performing. Leave it alone.

before UK. Also said that Jarret had first opportunity.

(Notice the choice of words)

JJ will start.

It's only going to take that one bad game to justify Miles replacing Lee as starter. And Jefferson will never have a bad enough game for Lee to regain the starting spot. Miles has never spoken of Lee with the fervor that he does Jefferson no matter how he plays.

I suspect we know where you pull these percentages from - the same place JJ supporters have their head. That said, I support a 100 JL to 0 JJ snap count so long as the game is in doubt.

JL has handled things very well, but all this looking over the shoulder crap may well start to creep in. We are messing with team Chemistry now - and that is not a good thing for a team riding high.

For now, Jefferson's play will be situational but he will play more and more and probably become the starter again.

Jefferson has been the starter for two years and he was the starter up until a week before the Oregon game. Bottom line, they believe Jefferson is better than Lee overall. Lee is improved but they fully expected Jefferson to be better as well. If Jefferson takes full opportunity of his chances, he will start again.

I think this line of thinking is a bit absurd not taking into consideration Lee's performance this season.

JL has thrown 8 TDs to 1 INT and has only been sacked 3 times through 5 games, all while playing 3 top 25 teams away from home. I don't care what Miles' "special relationship" w/ JJ may be, he's not pulling JL unless we lose. JJ will play the option QB role just like RP did unless JL fricks up and costs us a game. I don't know why a lot of y'all assume Miles is gonna inevitably make a change "just because."

I dont think they are surprised Lee has played well. I think they expected it. I also think they expect Jefferson to be better and if he plays well with the chances they give him, he just might become the starter again.
