Truthfully, I find fan's comments more of a bad example of who I am as a fan than anything that Miles does or says in front of a microphone.
Besides, doesn't he have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in economics? Stupid people don't earn these. I've been critical of his coaching decisions and clock management, but it's really time to lay off the personal attacks. I'm more embarrassed by our fans than I am for anything Les Miles has said or done.

personal attacks are BS. we're all armchair quarterbacking here, so taking potshots is pretty low in my opinion.
clearly there were some mistakes made and everyone knows it. miles owned up to screwing up, which is all he really needs to do to get our respect. he will keep or lose his job based on whether he fixes his mistakes, but it does not reflect on him personally. i don't think anyone thinks the guy is intentionally dicking things up. and since i'm not part of TAF, it's not on my back to hire/fire him. and if he's the coach, he's got my support.

I'm pretty sure 3.85 million is enough to pay for a lifetime membership in toastmasters.

Maybe, maybe not, but what does that do for the reputation of LSU fans in general to outsiders in our treatment of coaches in general? Do we handle ourselves with class or are we classless? That's the biggest question regarding how we and LSU will be perceived now and in the future.
Look, I'm all for hammering Les for his coaching blunders, and if he can't right this ship, for his dismissal from LSU as our coach, but taking this over the line and making it personal does nothing but put a mirror on us and demonstrate just how nasty we can get at any point in time.

He makes 4 mil a year at a high profile program. Part of his job is dealing with the public and media. He can suck it up.
He's a football coach. We didn't marry the guy and doesn't tuck me in at night. I don't give a shite what kind of father or husband he is. I care what kind of football coach he is and he's not looking to good in that light.
Again, he's a damn football coach. He's not my financial planner. I don't give a shite how many degrees he's got in economics, he still cannot figure out a game clock.

Nothing suprises me.
I just try to think of the most classless, ignorant things that can be said, and wait for them.

I'm sure he can and will suck it up, but when he's gone, people will still remember the way we treated him, so in the end, it's about us. Are we perceived as class or trash?

People will remember a passionate and dedicated fan base that loves their football. Fans that make tiger stadium one the greatest sports venues in the nation. Fans that donate enough money to their program that they can pay their coach 4 mil a year.

That's part of it, yes, but they will also remember how we conducted ourselves as people.

I am appalled at the lack of civility exhibited here and in the general public. What is most shocking is how the sports media has reacted. I sent the general manager of WAFB an email calling for Mr. Doucet to publicly apologize to Coach Miles. I for one, am not watching WAFB until I see it. The national media has been just as hypocritical. A few years ago they couldn't say enough good things. It is all about building them up so you can tear them down.

Chicken should whack threads or ban people attacking miles personal life or outside football. Even the football attacks r getting over the line

That and...a fan base that boos their players when the one they don't want in the game enters...like it is his fault for being sent in and wanting to go in. Oh yeah and for emptying the stadium early...i don't remember that being in all of the LSU lore.
It doesn't matter how many or what percentage of the fan base doesn't do this stupid stuff...it is the ones that do it that stick out and give the rest of us the rep.

If he made $800,000 a year, would you care less? You're better than this. Or, so I thought.

Is this how you see the Crimson coated Bammers??
They are not logical or rational people for the most part. And most other fan bases make fun of their behavior.
I think a lot of LSU fans are, today, feeding an outsiders view of the "typical" rude, crude, selfish, backbiting LSU fan...

"Bammers" are also celebrating winning the last national championship. Poor losers!!! They are laughed at by others and called names. Names like Corndogs heheheheheheehehehehe.

Max, serious question. I'm kind of curious. How old are you?
