You can add in the effects of the economy too. I wouldn't be surprised if season ticket holders don't renew.

It's not like you can't watch on TV, like the old days......

and if you really want to go, you already know that there will be tickets outside of the gate for sale, and much cheaper. and then add in that there will be 2 scrub games.....

News flash- Have you looked at the economy overal. Not only did it suck before but the oil Ban had a net effect on about 23,000 thousand jobs being lost and then look at the Fishermen and how that affects your economy.

When Catholic Charities is having to feed and give out money to a large number of "middle Class" in one of Louisiana's biggest populated areas on TOP of National economic situation well yes expect LSU Tickets prices outside the stadium to tumble

When I walked to the stadium last week about 2 hrs. before kickoff I saw overheard one guy selling two tickets and the asking price was $15 each. I have no idea where the seats were located.

LOL! Yeah, I love paying him top five coaching money so we can average 4 losses a year and look sloppy doing it. That is what we have done the past two years and that is where we are headed.

How do you know where we re headed?

Did you know where LSU was headed on 11/23/2007?

No. You were too busy bitching and moaning.

Here's the deal, I may be wrong about all of this, but you may be as well. The difference is that I'd rather keep supporting the team and being optimistic about LSU's chances and be disappointed at the end if they fail than be disappointed all season long and begrudgingly give props at the end when it all comes together.

Will LSU win the BCSCG this season? Probably not. Why get so overheated about theprospects of going 11-1 to 9-3? Maybe next year we'll get a QB that will put the offense over the top and all the phases will come together for a championship. It's a YOUNG team this year, and LSU keeps signing great classes year in and year out. Miles has already shown the ability to win the big one, so why not give him more opportunity - and trust - that he can do it again when he gets all the pieces in place?

CATASTROPHE SYNDROME!

Don't let it happen to you - support the TEAM..

The '07 championship gets belittled because of Miles. LSU fans actually belittling a NC. The Miles Haters have to because to give credit to it means they have to give credit to Miles.

They point to the '03 title as being better. It was shared. Why? Because the Great One laid an egg against Ron Zook and UF. Double Digit underdog has to beat OU and Boise has to beat Hawaii or we are out of that one as well.

Both championships are special to me. They both mean the same thing. We were in both. We won both in dominant fashion. Both coaches get the credit in my book.

GREAT perspective, imv.

I just wish Miles still had the balls he did when he first got here. (Fake punt on his first posession, ever. In his own endzone. The "Flynn to Bird" play verses Auburn.)

And yet I bet you were one of the multitude that were bitching and moaning about how "stupid" those calls were.

Never!! You need guts as a coach to win in any league. I love calls like this because it shows that they realise sometimes you have to do things out of the ordinary to accomplish extraordinary things.

I.E. Sean Payton in the Super Bowl..... Ooops! I forgot aboot the Saints shite being posted here. Asshat!

I'm sorry, but I am done with this argument. Congrats, you won.

Sure the offense sucks, but that just gives you more of a chance to see this defense.

To be precise, two facets of the O sucks which are the play calling and passing game, Ridley and the OL are much improved over last year. This team overall is much better than 2008/2009.

I love watching great D and special teams, without them no lead would ever be safe no matter what kind of offense a team had.

Im personally excited about the product. I try to stay positive although we have glaring coaching/qb problems. But as a lifelong lsu and saints fan, and a ragin cajun graduate, I dont bitch after a win, ever. Until they lose, im happy as can be.

A lot of people forget this. Both the 03 and 07 teams needed luck to get into that BCSNCG....most teams that win the championship do. Also, if I remember correctly, in 03 we needed something like 6 teams ranked ahead of us to lose in the last 3-4 weeks. Does that make the 03 championship any less special to me? No. Belittling our own championship in 07 is equally as ridiculous.

Yea, but i grew up in the late 80s and 90s. Lsu wasnt exactly tearing it up then either. Most weekends lsu and the saints both lost except for a few of the mora years.

He needs to be careful of the shoes he wears with all the trash left behind by the "we demand exellence" crowd.

That's just great.

What a true fan you are. Only true fans put down the team.

I wonder what Drake Nevis would think if you told him he was mediocre. I wonder what Kelvin Sheppard would think if you told him Chief was mediocre. I wonder what Steven Ridley and his offenive line would think if you told them they were mediocre.

Hell, I bet even Josh Jasper would kick your arse for calling him mediocre.

Patrick Peterson would probably just laugh in your face.

So you wait 8 months of the year so you can bitch and moan about the football team? Why don't you just be a Yankees fan.

Never mind, you actually suck as a fan.

2 national championships in the last 10 years.

55-15 over the last 5 years.

3 top 10 finishes in the last 5 seasons.

Currently 4-0 and #10 in the nation.

I don't think "mediocrity" means what you think it means.

I kind of want Joe Alleva to walk around after the game. People are so fed up with the product. The win over WV felt like a loss outside the stadium. It's very frustrating. People will give you the 4-0 nonsense. The difference is, we're not rising from the ashes and building. We are declining and everyone can feel it.

Well stated...

Now, you know that would never happen.

Sadly, pissing and moaning 24-7 has become the in thing to do in life in general and that follows over to the sports world.

We appear to have some real talent on this team, but that gets little attention while we bet up on the offense :beatdeadhorse: almost non-stop.

All I can say is:

just the quitters and malcontents. reality says, the passing game is problematic....we have steadily impoved in every other facet of the game.

to the original op....all tickets just before kickoff are discounted. get a clue.
