This seems to have gotten a lot of downvotes. I don’t care, and I stand by it. But to clarify, I didn’t mean he had the 2nd best WR career in LSU History, a top 5 career in LSU history, or even top 10. But he’s the most talented after Chase (and may have the better career—though they both might wind up behind Jefferson) and at his peak, has played at a consistently higher level than anybody other than Chase, will be the highest graded LSU WR after Chase, and will likely wind up being a top 10 pick if he’s healthy when he comes out.
And I LOVE(D) Josh Reed, Jarvis, OBJ, Clayton, Bowe, Jefferson, Kinchen, Boo Kennison, Tony Moss, and the list goes on. But Boutte has been on another level than all of those guys ever were since the end of last season.
The dude has been absolutely incredible with bad, inaccurate, and very young QBs throwing to him while being game planned against because we can’t run and the only other pass catchers we have are literally true freshmen.
But he is so smooth, fast, physical, and runs such greats routes, that if he comes back 100% and has his head on straight, he’ll be the 2nd highest WR picked in LSU history after Chase (or maybe OBJ who went 12th or 13th, I think, based on the ‘23 class).

This is what happened when your QB throws to high. Boutte was in double coverage and the ball should have never been thrown. Johnson will get all of our receivers hurr. He is not a good passer

Difficult to judge who is best.
Burrow isn't throwing to Boutte.
In addition Chase had great skill, body control, when catching those ong passes from Burrow.
Don't know how Chase would fare with those wounded ducks Johnson throws.
We have great young receivers. Too bad the passes aren't timely and on target.

And that’s why I have Chase ahead of Boutte. But if you replaced Chase with Boutte on those ‘18 and ‘19 teams, I don’t know that Boutte doesn’t have similar production.

I don’t think you can blame Max; it wasn’t a “hospital pass.” Just a jump ball on the sideline, a great play and horrible luck.

Kentucky fan here. I didn't come to tall trash, or bea jerk. I came here to literally say there are a whole lot of us here in Wildcat Country praying for him. Two times last night we gave him a standing ovation. Once after he made a monster grab, and once at the the. He is one of the top 3-5 best I have ever seen in college in my life. I know I'm probably not welcome here, so I won't stick around. Just wanted to say I hope he comes back strong and I hate that it happened.

Diverstity of team fans is what makes this thing go... Good place to get all the current info on things going on is all aspects of media. You just have to sort the wheat from the chaff and there is a lot of chaff...
