His pass to Dural around 9min in the 3rd on first down for 44yds was an absolute dime.

His first TD pass to him was as well. Rolling out to his right and throwing off his back foot on the money. That was beautiful

I'm glad we have so many of our coaches from our team that post on this board evaluating our depth chart. Before the Wisconsin game all everybody on here could talk about is how Harris needed to start and that Jennings career at LSU was over and was going to transfer.

Why don't we just let the people who get paid to coach do their jobs. I agree that it is Jennings job to lose, But I wouldn't count Harris out after he only got one offensive series, in a pretty terrible situation for a true freshman.

Miles specifically said after the game that he wanted to give "Brandon Harris" more time at QB. Why the hell would he say that about a true freshman? Typical rantards around here lack perspective. Playing Jennings was the right call. He did ok. Completed long passes. He'll improve for sure, but to act like this is over and done with after one game isn't accurate.

Completely agree, Jennings needed to be in the way the game was going, but Harris was essentially thrown into the fire when he entered the game.

Not taking any thing away from Jennings because he was one of the reasons we won the game, but to say that he preformed well enough to end the competition is silly. He did well in the second half, but 9-21 with over a third of his yards coming from an 80 TD on blown coverage isn't going to cut it in SEC play.

Especially when most of the rant had predicted his transfer two weeks before the game. Now all of a sudden he's starting the next 3 years.

Miles / Cam are going to be smart with this and bring Harris along. We are in a good situation with Jennings right now. He can win games for us, for sure.

this line needs to die and anyone using it needs to be banned...it wasn't a blown coverage, it was the QB and the WR extending the play when the original option wasn't there as they are taught to do. It was a beautiful play that will work very well in SEC Play.

He has to groom someone to be the backup. Our starting QB has either been yanked (Lee), subbed in and out (Lee and JJ), or injured from a series to an entire game (Mett) in each of the last three seasons. Would we trust a walk-on in that spot?

Jennings played in 7 games last year before being forced to play for a reason. He was young and needed reps after leapfrogging the older but less talented competition. And it turned out to be valuable and necessary experience at the end of the season. Harris should be no different. They need to get him as many snaps as they can to prepare him, QB battle or not.

To expect Harris to suddenly explode past Jennings is unrealistic after camp. It could happen, but camp and spring practice is where the reps get split and the coaches look to groom and work on technique. Harris definitely wasn't ready to be the starter Saturday night, and as such, he isn't going to be getting the starter's reps in practice unless Jennings gets hurt. That puts him at a disadvantage to leapfrog Jennings this season. I'm not saying it can't happen, but it will not be easy for him. Next year- different story.

Dat......you can't be serious! BH will never unseat AJ......ever??????? He could do it this year if AJ has a couple of bad games. I'll admit I wanted BH to be the man, but AJ is doing fine right now. Hopefully he continues to progress.....but BH is not gonna fade into the background.

You are not understanding. If Jennings plays to his potential, no way Harris sees the field other than to gain experience, in a blowout, or for a different look. Like at TAMU, Kyle Allen has the more talented arm, and next year Murray will have the most talented arm and legs of the group. if you think for a second that Sumlin would play them over Hill, you're crazy! You guys have seen Miles before. If a QB is doing great, he will not just pull him for the backup.

You obviously looked at my scenario above and you tell me that Miles would unset a kid who goes for 2500 passing yards 20 passing TDs 2-3 rushing TDs and less than 10 ints in his first year in the SEC? That would literally be the best season for an LSU QB sophomore in history.

The only way Jennings can lose his job now is if he plays really bad.

miles knows what he is doing. he will not allow another Jarrett lee sighting at LSU. he will bring AJ along slowly and he won't pull him because of a bad qtr or 2.

it was, but he threw 20 other passes, and only 8 of them found their target.

if he makes some bad mistakes or gets hurt.

with that being said, I hope he remains healthy and brandon harris can get some playing time all at the same time.
