Run pass option buddy. Lol the zone read and an RPO do have the same base principals. Your quarterback has to be able to make reads in both concepts. But tell me more about how I don't know what i'm talking about oh glorious one

The run part is designed for the RB, not the QB. RPO is not designed for a QB to run the ball. The QB reads the defense and decides to hand it off to the RB or pass.

You can't run an RPO based offense with a quarterback who refuses to pull it.

By pull it you're actually saying that Nuss refuses to throw the ball and constantly hands it off. I know I've been away from the board for a while, but are we really still doing this here?

a system to stay on blocks

What the hell is this nonsense? Not only is the interior offensive line not holding blocks, they are allowing defenders to come through untouched.

100% yes. You can't run an RPO based offense with a quarterback who refuses to pull it. Nuss doesn't keep the defense honest. There's no threat of him pulling it. The ends crash everytime because they know Nuss won't pull it, and even if he does, he'll slide shortly after the keep.

You just explained to everyone you have no idea what you are talking about.

That has been the case the last week or two….but early on they were extremely efficient on pass blocking.

Defenses know they don’t have to respect the run especially when we are behind…and losing Delly has really hurt. However run blocking and taking advantage of scramble via running lanes are completely different. Last year, Daniels made a living on holding defenders in their lanes until the defense expands and threw a laser or ran for 30 yards.

True. Their best pass blocking performance was definitely 2nd half vs Ole Miss.

there are lethal threads to run, like Daniels

but I ultimately want a guy athletic enough to punish teams that give
him a wide open lane or when he’s is the right read in a read option.

Joe and guys like Trevor Lawrence aren’t close to Daniels when it comes to speed or athleticism, but they’re still athletic and can gash a open defense.

it all worked better, not great, but much better when we had a functional LG. When Dellinger went down, you can pinpoint the beginning of the demise of our offense. Pretty blatantly obvious.
