By count on, I mean you know you going to get a good outing each time from those two guys.
Answer this question for me. Last year, how many pitchers did we have that we could count on?
I agree with you, but it seems that this year there is a bigger gap between our first and second line pitching. Our 2 best starters this year are better than anyone we've had recently and Ott has been very good, but after that the drop off is dramatic. Last year we had a lot of pitchers in the 4 ERA range. This year our second line pitchers are doing well if their ERA is in the 5 range and we have some that are getting hammered. That being said, AR and LC give us a great chance to win every game they start, which is something we didn't have last year. You can win most 3-game series with the pitching we have, but I'd hate to have to play a fourth game in a Regional. We really need another starter and a middle reliever to step up.

Does anyone know the family or kid well enough to know what he will do?
I talk to the parents at just about every ball game I go to, just not about Zach's future.

Maybe Ott a little
The kid has 51 K's and 2 walks in 31 innings and his ERA is two and a half despite giving up 3 homers in one inning against Bama. I'd say we can count on him. That kid is a stud.

Remember that Anthony was not a factor at all last year. I think Zeigler will come back very strong add him to Matulis and Bradshaw you have a good staff next year. Not to mention Cain, Alsup, Nicholson, etc.

Cain is a senior, and I doubt Nicholson and maybe Alsup are on the team next fall. We have alot of pitchers signed, but it also depends on draft.

Bradshaw over Ross? I doubt that. I also can't see Nicholson contributing next year...Alsup is borderline as well.
