I doubt the world is worried about The Daily Reveille
Unfortunately, you're wrong. ESPN has an article on the web about the Reveille article, entitled "Report: McCarthy paid a recruit". Here's a link, but you have to pay for an ESPN Insider account to read it.

DAMMMNNNNNN!!!! So if it turns out to be untrue, has ESPN put itself in any trouble here?

yeh, they get fired, like herby was, remember??
Posted on 12/4/09 at 5:23 pm to JRish
No, because ESPN is just reporting on what the Reveille reported. Also, ESPN put it under their "Rumor" section.

Hehe...yeah, I suppose the difference here is that they are accusing him of doing something unethical that could affect his future employment. (Again, I'm only asking if it isn't true)

Let's remember this was a sports reporter.
A) Sports reporters are typically allowed more leeway to discuss opinions and rumors. Think about ESPN...if they couldn't discuss rumors and opinions, there certainly wouldn't be a 24 hour news channel.
B) The sports team at the Reveille never struck me as the brightest crew ever assembled.

Of course it was pulled. LSU has already stated there were violations regarding a former play or something like that. How dare the Reveille get some info and put it out there for public consumption. They were probably threatened with a suit of some sorts. It'll come out.

I'm hearing a retraction or some clarification will be forthcoming from revielle....we'll see.

This might be bigger than the big Hurricane guru guy at LSU "resigning" for speaking the truth.

Conservatives are usually how should I say..."conservative". That means they are cautious in how they proceed with things ie. investigations. Liberals tend to have an "anything goes" attitude which means "oh here's a source let's get it out there and breatk the story first!" You don't usually see "conservative media" You usually see the media referanced as "liberal" media. That's all. Not calling her a liberal just the uncalculated action of a journalist.
You are a complete fricking idiot and I hope your keyboard breaks so we don't have to read any more of your asinine shite on this board.

Wow! That sure was a pitiful news article. Her "source" obviously knows no more about the situation than any of us. In fact, I bet the average guy on here knows more about the situation.
The only thing that gives her article any creditibility is that she cites a sources, but he doesn't provide any facts, but what ifs. Anyone can be a source. If I ask a 4 year old who the Vice-President of the United States is, and he tells me Big Bird then I can claim that a source told me that Big Bird is the VP of the USA.

I really doubt anything really substantial comes out of this. LSU will handle this internally submit it's findings to the NCAA and reveal that they have held an apartment for Reggie Bush, at no cost, and they will say, "Oh, for Bush. It's OK then."
