You also have to factor in that teams were stacking the box due to a lack of a passing game. I'm not saying he's going to be a probowler or anything, but he's got the skill set to have a career in today's NFL.

I think he could play a Marion Barber-type role for the right team.

if you add all those games up and average it out, it is under 4.0

FACT

I've done it 100 times

If you are going to do it that way then why not take his games from the best run defenses he faced? He averaged 4.3 ypc against the top 4 run defenses he faced this year (WVU, Miss. St., Auburn and Bama). Those 4 teams were all in the top 20 in rushing defense. UNC and A&M also had top 30 rush defenses and Ridley ran well against them.

not to mention when he got the ball, say 1st & goal from the 2, he can't get more than 2.

Ridley Averaged 4.6 YPC this season, nearly 1,200 yards.

How many times has Shep been given the ball to "Punch it in?"

Yet, all we hear is BS about how he averages 7.1 YPC per touch.

WVU's defense was not good. They were ranked that high because they played nobody. Ridley running well against them proved that

yeah ive said as much. I think he can be a situational guy. prob a backup most games

Marion Barber has made a pro bowl before i believe. Ridley will never be that good

He and Barber are pretty similar IMO. He's a 5th-7th round pick unless he blows up at the combine. I think he can contribute to a NFL team with a good line. I'm a fan.

Wow. Just Wow. WVU didn't play anyone but UNC did? You can argue if you think Ridley is going to be a good NFL back or not, but don't use stats to try and back up your argument when they don't fit. He ran fine all year outside of the Auburn and McNeese games. Ridley had better rushing numbers in SEC play than Ingram did. I guess that means Ingram isn't going to make it in the NFL.

he ran for under 4.0 yards vs FL and Bama as well as McNese and AUB

not sure what you are talking about.

He had a bad game vs UNC when they were missing 5-6 starters on defense. I never said UNC played anyone good. But the ACC was better than the Big East this year, which was horrible.

This just shows how stupid you are. No where did I say anyone wasn't going to make it in the NFL.

You can't even grasp what I am saying, and the context im using is on an 8th grade level. So basically you are an idiot.

He did not have a bad game against Bama. His avg might not look great, but he had a good game against a team that was stacking the box. Same thing with Florida. He ran fine until the 4th quarter.

Situational guy/full time backup is not making it as an impact player. Thats not even what I'm arguing either. You are trying to use stats to backup your argument when the stats don't.

ETA: Also, how did he have a bad game aganst UNC? He ran well that game outside of the fumbles, but he corrected those problems.

Sure not a starter. Too slow. He's also not a first round pick. I think he should come back and work on his speed and try to improve his draft status.

His 40s compared to Pierre Thomas' 40s are equal according to nfldraftscout.com. Plus, Ridley is at least an inch taller and 15-20lbs heavier coming out, assuming he does this year. Care to comment on that?
