He still was an effective runner that game. I dont think he fumbled the rest of the season so any concerns were put to rest. Scouts wont look at that game as a negative.

yea, you make so much sense.

LSUTiger17: "Pierre Thomas and Ridley are comparable. Here are the facts. Oh look, nothing they do are similar except for some made up 40 time on a draft website but they are comparable."

That is coherent and logical to you?

Are you going to find where I said he wasnt NFL material, or what?

If you do, I'll agree with you. I''ll call myself a joke.

Or i can just save you time and tell you that doesnt exist.

It's funny too, everything Ive said about Ridley has proven true throughout the season. But I am a joke?

You are correct...I somehow confused you with TigerRag...another blow hard that spouts his own set of facts under the theory that the more times he makes his point, the more likely it will become true.

No, I suggested that Ridley is better than PT. You are unable to infer or reason.

Let me make it simple for you.
PT and Ridley have around the same 40 time, as PT ran a 4.64 and Ridley is predicted to run that, and no one in their right mind believes he will run below 4.6's. This stat is equal.

Ridley is larger than PT, 6-0 and 223(actually weighs more now) vs 5-11 and 209. Advantage Ridley.

Stats before draft(and Ridley's is in the SEC):PT had 664 yards and 5.2 yard average with 5 tds. Ridley had 1,147 yards with 4.6 yard avgeage and 15 tds. Advantage Ridley.

I was saying, when you said that they weren't comparable, that in every area that they aren't comparable, that Ridley is greater than PT.

you do know scouts watch more than 1 year?

pierre thomas is 5th or 6th on illinois all time rushing list

he led the big 10 in total yards his soph year as he went over 1K and was MVP of his team his soph and JR years

that doesnt really favor ridley.

ask Anthony Dixon how that helped his draft status. who is a much better comparison by the way than a guy that played years apart, in a different conference, with a different skill-set.

How so? Prove it.

Dixon had less total yards, less ypc, and less tds than ridley. Dixon wasn't nearly as elusive as ridley, either.

How what helped him? And, Dixon was lazy...neither Pierre or Stevan have that problem.

huh?

1391, 5.4 YPC 12 TDS last year

how is that not beter than Ridley?

because Pierre Thomas showed what he could do before his SR year. YPC is huge. RIdley's is average, Pierres was always good.

Ridley did that this year as well. Ridley is 4th overall in tds scored in a single season at LSU.

Thought his Jr. stats were his Sr. stats. Looks like maybe Ridley should come back and get 1700 yards next season.

But he didn't do it his SR year.

But every play is a different circumstance. Ridley regularly gets 5-10 yards on a first down play. This is what an NFL team wants, someone to move the chains and set up second and third and shorts. Probably at least 1/4 of his carries were in short yardage situations where no one would've gotten more than 3 yards.

The things that will keep Ridley from being a good NFL RB will not be fixed with an additional year at LSU, so I guess it makes sense for him to leave now. He is in no way a consistent RB in the NFL IMO. He not only lacks the top end speed to get past the secondary, but he can barely break a run past 15 yards past LBs. He has a lot of positive attributes (vision, strength, toughness), but he just does not have enough speed to be a good NFL RB.

Honestly, I wouldn't be that disappointed if he left either. I think Ware is a better RB right now than Ridley.

LE, research this for me.I'll bet that no other All SEC,and probably All American, a running back this year took contact behind or at the LOS more than Ridley? Agreed?

You claim you have been right about SR all year but that's a lie. First you said he wouldn't even start ! I said he would be a top 3 back in the SEC and you laughed. You will be proven wrong again by his draft status. 3rd round at the latest with s solid combine. Are you aware of his NFL draft grade?...didn't think so.

Wrong again my man!! btw, I've noticed you dropped your boy ford overnight like s hot potato and have become a Ware man now!!!

He's ready. And, I like Ridley. He's pretty underrated by a lot of people.

But, there is a distinct chance that Ware could steal a lot of carries from Ridley next year and even look better than Ridley.
