Take your pick from the top 4 of Walker, Hilliard, Labas, Storz, Gilbert, Hill, Marceaux, Henry for the 4 starters.
Peterson setup.
Hess closer.

I say this as a huge Alan Dunn supporter... if we dont have 4 guys next year that are established starting pitchers, he needs to be fired. There’s just way too much talent to not have that, even if 1 or 2 guys inevitably have TJ or shoulder issues next year

I would never say no doubt on a guy coming back from major surgery and another who had to have his season shut down.

Yep and I remember reading somewhere a month or so back that his rehab was ahead of schedule.

Yea and they flirted with the idea that he might throw a little game time this postseason a couple months back. I think if would have made it to Omaha you might have seen an inning from him

Walker mid week

So you think Walker wont be back to his freshman self? because he was arguably the best pitcher then on a staff that had Alex Lange on it.

He’s nit a midweek guy.

Routine or not, it’s a risk. He might be better, he might come back throwing 85. I said it’s something to watch for next season, I didn’t say it was career ending.

If our draft luck holds out. We will have 7 or 8 legit possible starters. Is this what its like to be one of the four Florida fans?

Rarely do TJ pitchers return with less strength. And it’s not a result of the surgery itself. It’s that they get a full year to reset, retrain, rebuild the entire arm. You’re in better shape, you have better mechanics, etc. Technically any player could do it.

I don't know but my dick is harder than Luke Heimlichs at a One Direction concert.

Find me the latest case where a dude coming out of TJ lost his velocity after a successful rehab...

I’ll wait.

For real, I’ve seen people have issues with control after, but that’s probably mechanics for than anything I would guess. You don’t see them lose velocity.

Right. He’s more likely to come back throwing 91-93 than he is to come back throwing 85.

That's not really something that happens. The success rate for TJ is ridiculously high. Those guys usually come back throwing harder and better. Partly because 1) no telling how long their elbow has been slightly injured before the tendon broke and 2) theyve had a whole year of resting and working out.

As a RHP with average velocity, it’s hard to be as good as he was on a year to year basis. Just has less wiggle room for mistakes.

You’re severely underrating him.

Just to reference your statement, out of the last 4 big MLB guys to have TJ (Harvey, Fernandez, Moore and Corbin) the only one that regressed was Harvey, and that was because he was a head case more than TJ

His placement and his ground ball rate make him borderline elite in college baseball. It’s not all about velocity. See LSU 2017, we made guys throwing 95 look like we were hitting soft toss and then get sat down buy guys that throw 80-poo

This sounds like a bigger problem for Hilliard than Walker. One is more likely to have control over the other.

After a quick google search, Matt Moore lost velocity and was never the same. Harvey didn’t lose velocity, but was also never the same.

Again, not saying his career is over, or he won’t be the same. It’s still a reconstructive surgery, which comes with a risk.
