No, but since the board pulled that bull shite to get O'Keefe fired to bring in their guy.. Well let's say it has been down hill for LSU since.

Some of the ranters here are making this as just being a good or bad personnel decision. Make no mistake, this is a pure, raw money grab by the SOM. Take away the personalities involved & when you take money away from the G.Band, the quality will go down regardless who the new director may be. And perhaps more importantly, the SOM has BEEN wanting to take money away from the Golden Girls as they "do not play music". Who in his/her right mind would want to walk into this mess? Anyone any good??

O'Keefe got fired because John (or Joe) Lombardi wanted to "Reshape" LSU to a flagship school. After that moment, the decisions being made at LSU started to decline in effectiveness.

Alexander is a POS. He has brought nothing but negative attention to LSU since his arrival. It's been one clusterf*ck after another on his watch. As long as he's in charge, things will get a lot worse before they get better. TGBFTL is one our best-loved traditions and King and his cronies are gonna run it into the crapper.

Yep. Is there any way to find out if the money is indeed taken from Tiger Band and given to the School of Music? If it is, then it's pretty obvious that this whole thing was trumped up by F*King Alexander and his people.

This is such bullshite! I really want the details to come out because the Roy King I know loved LSU and dedicated everything he had to Tiger Band. He was also a great leader for the Bengal Brass group. The trips we took with Bengal Brass were a tremendous amount of fun because of Roy King. Shame on LSU!
