What's bad, Russell is only considered the biggest bust because of the contract. I believe Johnny Football was a bigger bust because he was a Heisman winner.
If Russell was the same QB in college now, as he was then, the talking heads would be fine with him being drafted and sitting to learn from a veteran.

Why? Stories of guys hitting rock bottom resonate much louder with those kids in that room than a success story like Peyton Manning would be. Most of those kids are coming from just about nothing and hope football is the way up and out for their families. They are much more motivated not to fail and be a frickup after listening to one of the all time frickups in college football.

Hopefully it was just a "Drugs are bad...MMMKaaay" speech because NOBODY should be taking football related advice from that dumbass.
