Trindon lacks shiftiness and the cutback. So really no, they are not the same.

Anybody that has watched him play RB could tell you he isn't a RB. He is a great KR/PR and good at running speeps and trick plays here and there. If you give him space he can outrun everybody, but put him in a crowd and he sucks.
I loved him on special teams, but he has done nothing at RB.

tell that to Barry Sanders. You says you HAVE to juke and be shify to be a small nfl running back. I think Sproles cuts well but he runs forward most of the time.

You don't have to juke, but you have to be able to make people miss. He has not shown the ability to do that.

and he has done nothing at running back because he hasn't been given an opportunity to run the way he likes to. Trindon likes the ball off tackle, usually a trap play. One of the more common plays that NFL teams run. He is good in small spaces where he can make 1 cut and go. Anymore than one cut is a waste of time. In the NFL, you have to run forward and make minimal cuts while moving with speed. Trindon can do that. NONE of you have ever seen him do this, I haven't seen him do it against SEC defenses because he hasn't been given the chance. What I do know is that he loves moving in the hole and finding space in which to run north and south. I know that because I was raised to learn the same system in middle and high school as this cat, and this is how we were taught. Zone blocking, make one cut and get up the field. BTW, Sproles just did that. Pulling gaurd opened up a HUGE hole

I'll add. The main reason why it is the norm to be a big RB in the NFL is because of injurys. It's not a good value if you pay a guy and he only plays a few games because of injury. With the new way of dual running backs I think Trindon could be a good secondary back in the NFL, much like Sproles. In no way am I saying that 230 pound backs are obsolete, those backs should be featured. All I was saying is that there is a place for Trindon on an NFL roster as a contributing running back

Reggie Bush runs 4.28 and what has he done in NFL. nothing!! except get hurt!! i like him but hes just not made for NFL as a running back!!

If he can add 20 lbs without losing much speed then I believe he could contribute in the NFL. And I don't know how so many are saying Trindon can't make people miss. Sure, he doesn't have Barry Sanders' hips, but it's not like Sproles does either.

I don't think Trindon runs like Reggie at all, Reggie is not willing to absorb contact and get up the field in traffic. I think TH is willing to do that.

impossible for a man his height to gain 20 and not lose his great speed!! from 4.25 to 4.55 then he will be too slow for a small rb!!
Posted on 1/3/09 at 10:31 pm to juiced247
he should be a slot back or just play wr.
Posted on 1/3/09 at 10:35 pm to juiced247
I think he would make a terrible NFL WR. He is much too small of a target height wise. It makes it really tough on a QB when he has to find a guy that is 5'5''. Which is why it's good to be short when playing RB. That scoring run Sproles just had looked like something Trindon would do IMO

i hope he does make it. hes a great person with a very good attitude and will give it his all!! i just think he will have trouble due to his size. but i do wish him great luck!!

He gets in the game and everyone knows he will get the ball and the guy still gets 10 yards.
he is not utilized correctly!!! I have been saying this for 2 years! I really feel for him cause if he wasn't playing for Miles, we would see him on Sundays in the future. Miles doesn't utilize him as he should. Bottom line. You can say whatever the frick you want Lester...

we all have obstacles in our way, I think that will make it even better when we see the guy become something in the National Football League
Posted on 1/3/09 at 10:40 pm to hondapa26
i do agree with that. when he goes in we know hes gettin ball!! that makes it too easy for defense!! we need him in theere every play. so they dont know when hes gettin it.

dont hink he would be good running back but i think he should touch ball 5 or 6 times a game excluding returns. and should be on field more than just when he gets ball. decoy at least!
couldn't agree with you more...been saying this for 2 years.

actually, he was given the chance to do so in the South Carolina game last year at home, and he passed every body up on the field in about 4 seconds for a 34 yd. TD
