There will always be people who criticize, Flynn had it in 07, Mauck even had it in 03... McElroy had it in 08 on Bama boards, Cam had it last year by Barners on SEC Rant.....
No Auburn fan ever blasphemed against Cam. They're all in you know

I think it came down to JJ having the option to run when a play broke down. It nudged him ahead of Lee.
And it will keep him at the starter position this year.

how do you know the offense hasn't changed?
Do you READ the 1st hand accounts from practices/scrimmages or do you ONLY defend JJ tirelessly?

in addition, why would a team that has had several publications rank them #1 in early polls overhaul the offense.
Did you watch the putrid LSU offense last season? It just gets unreadable on here. Hopefully you've been drinking.

Who threw the 47 yarder to seal the game?
Who won the game?
Both of them.

Let the best guy play. Seems like a solid coaching strategy.

I see what you are saying, I just don't agree that it's so extreme, or that simple. If Mettenberger, or Lee for that matter, clearly out performs Jefferson then he will play. If they're all even, Jefferson will play due to experience and ability to scramble.

And yes, I've read the 'first hand accounts'. But quite frankly, they get lost in the constant drivel from posters completely misquoting them. After all, Mett plays with the walk ons like Wright and Fobbs.

Are you high? You're making ZERO sense.

JJ27
I don't know why you think JJ could not have completed that pass. He completed several similar throws early on.

If you consider his "legs" to be what makes him superior, so be it. JJ wasn't better than Lee last year. In fact he was the worst QB I have seen at LSU. I think you are unable to look at this situation objectively.
JJ has nowhere to go but up. He has to improve, I suppose. If Mettenberger can't beat JJ out on a level playing field with JJ performing as he did last year, I will worry about the season.

Yep. But Lee;s drive was pretty much all him. Unlike the previous drive you discussed.

Hang on to that thought. We can revisit this later but I feel pretty sure my opinion will be validated.

I get it. You really don't like Jefferson.
