This seems more on Wade than Scott...

Then how did Wade go to McNeese and immediately qualify and play in the Tourney?

Because, he never met a contract he didn't like or can't comprehend legalese. Beggars choice.

that’s honestly what Verge just did as well. Just happens to be a more popular fan pick. And probably/hopefully a harder, more invested worker.

If you can’t tell the difference between Lane and Kelly I don’t know what to tell you. Lane is the first elite Xs and Os HC we’ve had since Saban. The three guys in between were politicians. You’ll be able to tell when you see the team play next season.

He did not interview Kiffin the last cycle which was ridiculous!

No it wasn't. Nobody wanted Kiffin at that time. His record that year was 8-5, and his overall record there was 23-13 at that time. He wasn't on the radar at that point.

Kiffin was the top candidate this time around, by far. Scott would have gone after him. In 2022, not so much...

The reason he is such a good coach is that he has had amazing success in the NIL portal. He has always been a great recruiter. Give him great coordinators and he's going to kick arse.

The key to success is good staff and being able to assemble the talent you need. Those are his strong points. Throw in the fact that he's a world class troller, it's gonna be fun.

Why was there so much angst thrown when Gov Landry effectively forced the firings of both the football coach and the AD?
Those two individuals wasted multimillions of dollars and failed both of their core duties in the failed football program which caused the entire football program to fall among the bottom feeders in the SEC. It is obvious that without the cries from the Governor, no one would have been fired at LSU.
The Governor did the University a favor by getting rid of these people and will do another favor if he can use his influence to hire better people in those positions.

Bc he hired Brian?

Because he hired Kelly at $10 million a year with a $10 million a year buyout. No incentive to win.

What was Kelly known for? His offensive prowess? His defensive schemes? His development of QBs? He had nothing really but a position at a perennial historic program that attracted mediocre talent for a Powerpuff schedule
