Saban was a prick and Les won 1.5 Nattys
In December of 2011 we were wrapping up a perfect season with a win at Saban’s house. I don’t care about the farce rematch.

He was a horrible AD and nobody can logically dispute this with any evidence saying otherwise. It's fact not opinion.
he hired coaches that won National Titles here in 4 different sports. And a women’s Basketball coach that went to 4 straight final fours.
name another AD in LSU’s entire athletic history that can make that claim.

Hold on now.
Let's refresh the memory.
Saban yoyo-ed LSU every damn year with his NFL flirting. We went through all this in January with Chicago. Saban was going to NFL at some point because he just HAD to try it.
Skip had enough of it and I don't blame him. It was getting old. Saban supposedly had second thoughts when Miami came but Skip had enough and said he was already looking for a coach. Don't blame him because the next year, we would've been suffering it through again.

Hey Godfather aka Mike Cornholio you and I heard 2 different stories. I never said Nick was this or that.
I said Bertman tried to talk him into staying on more than one occasion, and among other things told him he would not like the NFL because the players make way more than he will and won't listen to him etc. etc. It's a fact also that Saban asked Skipper for his job back but Miles was in. Anyway Geaux Tigers !

Ellis Hue...
This is what I have said for years, We won the Game of the Century @ their house and went Undefeated through a Hell of a Schedule ! That BS rematch was just that ! Players were pissed and I was fuming, they purposely D'kd us so al. could keep their pecker order ! That team & 19 Nat. Champs were 2 of the greatest teams we ever had ! Now some of Arnsbergers' NFL roster teams were badass too especially the D.

And I know this goes against the accepted break room dialog but Saban NEVER indicated that he wanted to return to LSU. His eventual landing at Alabama is along and a bit convoluted, but LSU was never realistically in the picture.
I know for a fact that saban asked to come back through back channels. We understandably couldn’t fire les after the sugar bowl season, and Alabama boosters essentially passed around a hat and collected as much money as they could to get him.
This basically came from skips mouth

It would have been nice if Les Miles had won 12 consecutive National titles.

Imagine being told by Skip that Paul M was one of the best coaches he ever met and in the same league as Saban.
The guy sucked big time as an AD
